HANSON TAKES ON THE TABLOIDS
It sounds like the love story of the year: Golden boy Taylor Hanson and Ozzy Osbourne's daughter Aimee. Well, forget it. "It's just one of those rumors. We actually have met Ozzy Osbourne's two daughters, I think twice," he said at a press conference yesterday. "They were nice, but it's just a rumor. I think people sit around and just make things up."
Taylor and brothers Zac and Isaac met with reporters at Planet Hollywood in New York, and questions for the "MMMbop" mop-topped trio ranged from mundane to provocative. "As far as the tabloids go, you can't do anything about it. It's no big deal. You laugh at it," he added.
Hanson's rabid fans who wailed as they got a glimpse of their heartthrobs are a reality, however. "It's not 'Oh, God, they're going to start tearing at me!' It's 'Oh, God, I'm losing my arm,' " Zac quipped. Taylor added: "Most of the time it's cool. They're not out there to kill you. They're just excited. You don't want them to get hurt, because they're just pushing each other. That's when it becomes a problem."
The teens are halfway through their first full-scale concert tour, and they're adding new material to their teenybopper playlist in order to keep things fresh. They recently started performing Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love," and they shared the stage with Blues Traveler earlier this month during an impromptu jam at the H.O.R.D.E. Festival. "It was awesome to get to play with them," Taylor said. And, according to Isaac, "John Popper made a harmonica solo in the middle of 'MMMBop.' It was very cool."
