On Zac's Braids: "If you watch the MMMBop video, while I am drumming in the Dust Brother's house...my hair is like this..see, it is braided!" - Zac "Zac doesn't keep it like this for very long...I mean, the longest he's kept it is like a week..." - Isaac "You have to wash it eventually...and it'll like go, 'Booof'...it'll end up in a little 'fro-braid...like a braid-'fro...braid slash 'fro..." - Taylor "It's a 'frobraid...a frabraid!" - Zac "Did you know if you play MMMBop backwards it's pobMMM???" - Isaac "My God! It does say pobMMM...that's amazing!!" - Taylor As for writing songs... That's all us...just us three...us three...yes, it's us three...we are three that write...and we are three and...yeah, three..." - Zac (in the most unbelievably cutie pie voice) "I have a secret...in the music..." - Zac "There's subliminal messages..." - Isaac "That forces people to go to the store and buy the record...HAAAAA!" - Taylor **A note about the quote you see above...this is such a good example of how they have a tendency to finish each other's thoughts...this was inter-played so well...and Taylor was so cute at the end of this sequence! HANSON ON LOVE: Isaac: "I think romance is a great feeling, you can be romantic without being in love with a girl. I must admit that I'm an absolutely hopeless romantic, even though my brothers wind me up and tease me when I'm in one of my romantic phases." Taylor: "I've often thought about how nice it would be to be in love, but I don't believe you can imagine what it is like if you haven't experienced it." Zac: "I imagine that being in love with a girl is something very special. I haven't experienced the famous butterflies-in-the stomach yet, but I think I still got enough time for that." Zac: It's still kinda weird to walk in and go... Taylor: Ohmigod! Who's that ugly guy on the cover...that's me...y'know... Isaac: Yeah... Zac: This ugly pig! (turns and hides face in Isaac's chest) Taylor: I don't know about the studly, but we're definitely single. Zac: You know...I thought of being a mute in the video... Taylor: That's a GREAT idea!! (THIS was purely hilarious...!) Hanson on Limos: Taylor: Some of them have seats facing backwards, which makes you feel a bit queasy. Zac nearly threw up during one limo ride. Isaac: He did throw up, didn't he? Zac: No only almost. I held it in. Isaac: Wasn't it cause the roads were really curvy that day? Zac: No guys, that's just me. I even get sick in normal cars. Hanson talking about their Motorbikes: Isaac: Tay and Zac have had some pretty incredible wrecks recently. Taylor: Zac hit a rock and just flipped. He flew about ten feet through the air. Zac: Hey, I was teaching gymnastics to my brothers! Hanson gets sick?? Zac: Of course. On one of the first shows for the Middle of Nowhere tour both Tay and I got sick. Taylor: Yeah we were spewing all over the place. Zac: But luckily one of the first things we said was, if you're gonna spew up on stage make sure you've got your back to the audience. Taylor: Yeah, don't spew on the audience! Bad move. Isaac: That's not true. They didn't actually spew on stage. They just looked very green for the whole set. Zac: It's very easy to get sick when you're meeting so many people. Taylor: You shake somebody's hand, then you pick your nose, wipe it on your leg. Then you pick your ear...it's tough! One of the reporters asked Hanson how they got their last name and then he said well if your name had been Higganbottom would they be named that instead? Taylor responds: "Um, I don't think so. We would have to think of something more creative...that sounds like a bowel movement!" Everyone laughs. Taylor says: "Wait, is that your name?" Reporter said: "No." Taylor said: "Well if that is anyone's last name, I did NOT mean to offend you. I'm sorry!" Taylor: Our manager Christopher put some peppermint drops in my hand and told me to try them. He said they're really good for settling a dodgy stomach. Zac: I guess they'll make our burps smell pepperminty, that's for sure. Issac: And our prrrps! (Lifts leg in a farting motion...) Oh dear... Asked whether it was more exciting meeting President Clinton or Cindy Crawford, Zac diplomatically says, "I don't know. The president is the president, but Cindy Crawford is very cool and is awesome to meet. But he's the president! He's like the second most powerful man in the world." The first being....? "Um, I have no idea," he says. "Wait, me!" On Snowed In: "Yeah, we wrote three Christmas songs on that, a song called 'Everybody Knows The Claus' which is kinda like...it�s kinda funky almost...you know it�s got this, serious guitar groove. And a song called �At Christmas� which is just, kind of a, Christmas ballad." - Isaac On Soldier: "There�s one song off 3CG that�s kind of an interesting song. It�s about a tin soldier. It�s really just like a really long story. And it�s based around kind of a storybook but it really it�s not a young song at all. It�s a very interesting song. That�s one that we kinda like enjoy playing. It�s kinda off the wall really, the way the song was written." - Taylor On With You In Your Dreams: "Our grandma, she was kind of close to dying and one night Tay went up and started playing some chords and we heard him from our room....and um, went up and he�d started playing this thing and we finished it off and dedicated it to our grandma." - Isaac On the $16,000 paid by Ozzy Ozbourne: Taylor: It's kind of funny though because we�ve met his daughter.. Isaac: His daughters Taylor: ...both of his daughters already and it�s kinda surprising actually that she would decide to do that. But um, I think that�s awesome, but I think it went to a good cause and if they would like to pay a lot of money to get backstage passes, we�re sure not worth it. On family life: "Life is pretty chaotic yeah, but everybody kinda flows with it. Everything has to be just kinda based around that. But still life goes on pretty normally, our little sisters had a ballet recital and we had go to it. You know you HAD to come, so we had to go to that." - Taylor "If we�re playing music, we�re playing music loud, if we�re watching TV it�s loud. We�re very, the whole family is very auditory in that way. It�s always like, turn it up. So when we�re playing music and we�re talking about music and I think they get influenced by that. Ouryounger sister Jessica, who�s 9, she could probably tell you every lyric to our songs." - Taylor On the fixation with their hair: Isaac: People often comment on our hair and go, so is it a plan, is it in your contract, do you have to keep your hair long ? Taylor: NO, no it�s not! Isaac: It was just coincidence. Taylor: I think our image is not our hair or any of that stuff. I think you are definitely going to change just like anybody. Because, music changes and life goes on and things just evolve. So, of course you�re going to have new songs and you�re gonna maybe learn new instruments or... Zac: Or new haircuts Isaac: ... new fans Taylor: Yeah. New haircuts, that�s definitely not one thing we�re stuck on. On the next album: Taylor: You�re always writing songs as you go travelling around. Zac: We have a few that we think are gonna be on the next album. Taylor: And also some songs that we�ve always wanted to record, maybe that songs we wrote some time ago that we wanna put on an album. Possibly that you�ll, kind of, revamp those and startover. But, some songs that you really, really enjoy playing. Isaac: We�ve talked about recording a couple of songs from 3CG again just because they are old versions and we have new parts to some of the songs. I think that actually on this album, people will be probably a little bit surprised when we start recording... Taylor: I think we�ll be surprised. Isaac: Yeah I think we�ll be surprised actually, yeah because you write songs in all kinds of different situations especially now, because you are travelling more. Zac: Yeah, we�ve written a lot more songs like, with an acoustic guitar so it will probably have more of that kind of sound to it.
