Now..about this pose. Tay...you look a bit..well, sleepy...like you're not all there bud! What's up?? Zac...you got that 'hurry up and get this over with' look as well as the aforementioned one. Perhaps you don't care for being perched atop a piano? Ike, honey...I don't think you were really ready for
this pic...but the posing actually is one that works nicely with you.

The clothes: Tay and Ike...what???? Was there a scuffle over the striped outfit?? You resolved it by: Ike wears the pants, Tay wears the shirt?? WHAT??? Now, Isaac....a different shirt...some spats...you might have the beginnings of a zoot suit going on here! The shirt however that Ike is wearing...KEEP IT!!! I love it!!!! (Circe...this is NO 'ugly shirt!') About 'ugly shirts'...perhaps it is just the sizing here...but the striped shirt doesn't work for me on Taylor. I don't know why...something just seems...'off.' I'd like to see the shirt under it...looks like a long sleeved T maybe...THAT would work better with those wonderfully faded jeans he is wearing...KEEP THOSE!!! Ike and Tay have wonderful "hansony" footwear
here....I like those too. Since I am on footwear, this is where I shall begin my comments on Zachary 'Drum-GOD' Hanson. (I LOVE this kid!) Where was I???

Oh...Zac's boots...um...well....um....without the U-shaped piping...they're a go...however, this is ZAC..and he can get away with anything. Remember the orange jumpsuit on Saturday Night Live?? Only ZAC! Brown slacks...nice choice...looks good, actually meshes well with the U-shaped piping on
the boots. The shirt...CLASSIC Zac Hanson shirt! LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! Woo hoo...however....I think that this shirt would have been a better match with some faded jeans like Taylor's. I must say that if Zac had worn stripes....this pic would have been very difficult on the eyes...Thank-You Zachary!

The piano: It reminds me of the one I took lessons on way back in....oh...fifth grade??? I regret now that I didn't keep it up....I hope someday to have the opportunity to take lessons again. This piano is
kind of a small one...perhaps a bit too small to sit THREE Hanson's on...therefore Zac was the 'chosen one.'

Oh my, almost forgot HAIR!!! Actually, I'm only going to mention Zac's...cuz it is SO working here....as ALWAYS...this kid has the MOST amazing hair. I know, I know Zachary...'It's not about the hair.' but sweetie, yours looks marvelous here.'"

Mari's comments:

Not one of the best pictures of the Hanson brothers, is it? I guess we're all entitled to having some really bad shots of ourselves...I know I have some...but then again, I don't have them released to millions of people to look at. Furthermore, I don't have three people critiqueing a bad picture of me...so in that instance, I feel a bit bad for Hanson and this picture. But, not that bad.

First, I agree with Mo...this is too small a piano for even Zac to be sitting on. Zac's not small...he's at least...what?...5'4"?? That's reaching adult height range already...so sitting on a small, helpless
piano...

Anyway...

I must say that I hardly see anything in this picture that I like. To me, only the shoes are working here. It looks like one of those shoots that was: Number 1) A hurried sort of deal and Number 2) Something the guys were not too enthused about. Why they chose to release it, I have no clue.

On all three...love the Hansony shoes. One thing I expect from Hanson besides good music is awesome looking boots. I am not disappointed here. Very good choice guys.

However...

Taylor: Does Taylor look confused to anybody else? He's got a "Huh?" look on his face that is TRYING to look like a, "Yeah, I know what's going on" look. Not the best picture of Taylor in pictures past.
Undershirt...it's a Taylor staple. Think it's because he sweats a lot (ie. whenever he plays live)? Anyway, don't like the striped shirt. There is something wrong with the sleeve cuffs. The pants are
'okay'...same slim fit kind...but I sort of like the grey color...if anything.

Isaac: What is with the matching outfit between Taylor and Isaac?? I mean, Taylor's shirt and Isaac's pants MAY NOT be a whole outfit...but if put in the same picture...what else are we led to believe? Isaac's shirt is okay...it's even nice...but it's give NO JUSTICE when put with those pants. The pants, I really dislike. Ugh...was everything else in the laundry?? If so, a photo shoot may not be the best thing to do that day. And Isaac's facial expression SCREAMS, "I am, yet again, NOT ready for the shot!!" Poor Isaac.

Zac: Zac looks like he does not want to be there...he even looks a bit peeved. Well, maybe he did not WANT to sit on the piano but they made him? Or maybe this was a supremely early shoot...which would explain all three of them...hmmmm?? But Zac has a Zac shirt on...and praise the holy heavens he didn't wear the coat to match Isaac's pants and Taylor's shirt...because then, I think I really couldn't handle it. Perhaps, I'd have died laughing...who knows?

Hair...Taylor's needs to, again, be brushed before stepping out of the house/tour bus/hotel. Isaac's is in a ponytail...but along with his facial expression, leaves MUCH to be desired. Zac's looks the same as
it always does...however, I've seen better hair days for Zac.

I just really think this was a spur of the moment shoot and that the guys were not ready (or even willing) to do this...I mean, I just cannot bring myself to believe that THIS shot is the best shot the photographer as well as Hanson could come up with. So, I'm RATIONALIZING...

This picture is a strange one because it has unfinished potential. I think I know what the photographer was striving for in regard to the striped outfit, and I like the idea, but it failed.

Zac looks way out of place here, with the brown and orange -regular- outfit, but it could have been worse. The photographer could have stuck a striped fedora on Zac's head. *shudder*

If I could redo this photo, I would put Taylor in black trousers and fix the shirt so it doesn't look like he just fetched it from the hamper. I would fix that hair so it doesn't look like Laura Petrie (you guys are
going "who?").And get rid of those skanky jeans.

Next, I would put Isaac in a nice black long-sleeved shirt and maybe bring down the hair. The shirt he's wearing here could make its own outfit with Taylor's ratty jeans.

*Random Thought* I want to see Hanson in cuff links!! (Again, you guys are going, "what's that?)

Zac is perched on that rinky piano almost like an afterthought. He looks as if he knows it too.

I would have dressed him in all black. No stripes. We wouldn't want to go to far with the zoot suit theme or it might look like Pimpwear by Hanson.

I give points to the photographer for having at least a slightly different idea than the rest. I like the striped pieces and the balancing act the photographer tried to do, but this photo misses the mark.
And it might be a nice idea if they let the guys know when they were going to snap! They don't look too ready here.
