"Sleepwalker" by Sandy Jamar

Sleepwaker, dreamer of pleasant dreams was I, hypnotized and drugged by the analgesic Spring until July disturbed my sleep. Its heat and glare assaulted like acid rain. Deathwalker, crawler of the desert am I, eyelids burned away in Summer's kiln. I am become a pygmy writhing o'er glazed dunes; a thin mirage spawned by the Red Giant nailed upon a molten sky. For companions only scorpions remain and I have forgotten all I'd dreamed of in the Spring. -------
