Awakening
by Nicole M. Brand

I awoke from a dream, You came to visit tonight. Looking splendid in silver, Winges open in flight. You've said that you love me, But it can't be the same. Now our passion's forbidden And I take all the blame. I wish i could tell you, My heart, it won't mend! For our spirits are kindred. Our souls are old friends. I see that you're happy, You need to stay true. But my life, it is empty. My desire is you. Having seen the first light. Nighttime rushing away, I call out your name, I would ask you to stay. To show you new pleasures, To light up your skies. Sharing kisses in moonglow, Greeting days with new eyes. Posted March 4, 2000
