"My Baby Boy"

by

Jack Mann

Born premature

All yellow and small

Never dreamed he would grow up

To be six feet tall

A smile on his face

From the time he was born

What a joy to behold

With no one to scorn

He grew up so happy

Not an enemy had he one

Hate was not in his nature

From the day it all begun

Now he is all grown up

But he will never be alone

For he will love another

And reproduce his own

I thank God for letting me have him

As well as all my kids part

But there is something about the baby

That leaves a mark on the heart!
