Desperate to find myself in this mess we call life
Wandering through what seems an endless night
Waiting to see the sky clear above
Wishing and hoping and dreaming of love

What is love but a promise of shattered dreams
Who am I but a little girl tearing at the seams
What I thought to be reality is now exposed
And the truth to who you really are now shows

I refuse to fall into the pit of despair
For I know I will never find life's meaning there
I am not as weak as I once assumed
And I know I am stronger without you

I will not cower and admit my defeat
Because then my life will not be complete
I will let God lead me where I should go
Since He is the only One who knows
