"Words on a Breeze"

Words on a breeze
floating with no feeling
moving without a sound
but slicing through every
bit of my heart

Freezing all as they move
in and all around
filled with coldness as
they glide through the air
spreading icy tremors
to everything they touch

They leave me with nothing
but tears
allowing me nothing but to wade
in my own fear and pain

They come in on a breeze but
leave in a squall of remorse
