Ode to the Tax Man
by
Karen Pospisil
Oh shoot!...the tax man's at my door!
Do I claim one dependant, two?.three or maybe four..
Why in the world do we have to put up
with his rules, his numbers...he's so darned corrupt!
This is the time that a single is better
off being a double, or so says the letter
that came with the forms, so many, so long...
I'm so stinking afraid of doing something wrong!
Let's finish this task, get him off of our back,
and look at the checkbook and what it will lack
from giving to Caesar that which is his
and then for a year he'll be out of our bizzzzzzzzzzzzz.........
