"The Man"
by

Michelle Arnts

A beautiful garden a thousand miles long,
A man standing by me that's bold and strong.
A variety of animals paired in twos,
I greet the man, what have I got to lose?
Near family and friends that I happen to meet,
Gently and carefully the man washes my feet.
He tells me stories of when I was young,
Then he tells me where he was from.
He said he came to earth long ago,
And that he'd return to the land far below.

And then I realized who the man was,
I realized this simply because...
The man was perfect in every way.
He was like the bright sunlight wth all its' rays.
He wiped a teardrop from my eye,
And told me it was okay to cry.

His name is Jesus,
The everlasting heart.
He will be with us always,
And he will never part.
