STREET SLANG(VII)

     (I don't believe in censorship. Some of these terms are offensive but this is actual language used on the streets, invented day by day. I don't condone the use of this language but explore its social peculiarity and conventions--Ed.)

    

     Ice:

          Jewelry. Syn: GOLD, SILVER

          Example: My ice ain't bootleg, foo'.

     Illin':

          1. being ill; being sick. 2. being ill-behaved

          Example: You be illin'.

     Jiggy:

          A guy who thinks he's the bomb but is not. Syn: BAMA, PLAYA-FAKA

          Example: That fool is jiggy, trying to rock that fake rolex.

     Jimmy Hat:

          A condom Syn: TROJAN

          Example: If you plan on getting down tonite, you best be wearing a jimmy hat.

     Jockin' My Style:

          Copycat. Syn: PLYAHATIN' SINCE THE DAYS OF ROLLERSKATIN'

          Example: fool why you jockin' my style!?
