What the crap?? La Femme Nikita has been repeats for...oh i don't know.....over a month and a half!!!!! What's going on? Who's in charge?? AAAHHH!!! OK this Sunday, it's "Time to be Heroes" which is that weirdly funny episode with the undertrained operatives.....next Sunday, it's the episode where Madeline loses it. I have SEEEEEEN these episodes.....I don't like repeats....unless it's that one where Nikita and Michael were held hostage and he confesses how he feels. That's an all time favorite. But I don't want to see Madeline go crazy love sick again and I don't want to see Nikita be forced to marry that guy from Grease II again. Really. Who does he think he's fooling trying to look all debonair with that mustache and fake tan. Anyway. That has to be one of the best, most underrated TV shows out there right now. If you're a fan (that's a shot in the dark) or if you've ever seen the show....or...if you've ever heard of the show, why don't you email me and tell me how you feel about it.

I am NOT a nerd for knowing that! It's at the start of every show. I have faithfully followed Michael and Nikita's tortuous love affair, Birkoff's search for identity, and an endless parade of Madeline's bad hairstyles. And you gotta love Walter. The guy's a Section One staple. Love him love him. I'd like to think if i'm ever kidnapped by an anti-terrorist organization, there'd be somebody like Walter there to watch my back.....uh.....nevermind.
OK, so this USA series wasn't the most popular from the get-go but once the uncivilized media got hold of Peta Wilson's beauty and potential as the newest target for their cameras, she and the show were the Next Big Thing.
Peta Wilson is from Australia and Roy Dupuis is from Canada (he's French Canadian) for those of you who couldn't figure out the accents. As for Birkoff, that's just a speech impediment.
I am ready for new episodes of my favorite show. I'm frickin tired of repeats!
OK you know the episode where Michael's talking to the guy who came up with the whole mind altering genetic changing operative creating project? And then the guy gets shot? Well ok, back to when he's talking to the guy. When he said there was another person who underwent the procedure, I totally thought the guy was gonna tell Michael it was him....Wouldn't that make perfect sense? The procdure removes all emotions- fear, love, etc- Michael never expressed his feelings and is such a stoneface...well, it makes perfect sense to me. Poor Adrian. Such an amazing woman, being the mother of Section and all. I want to know if Operations does secretly control all of the world's leaders (not in real life people i'm not that stupid!!!) just to eventually gain control of everything himself. Sometimes he seems like the devil incarnate and other times he seems almost protective.
Whatever happened about Operations possibly being Nikita's father? I realize that could have been said just so she wouldn't kill him, but nothing else ever followed up. That would be kind of inconsistent and well, DUMB in my opinion, but oh well.
What about the episode where we get to meet Nikita's long lost mother? I noticed a rather LARGE discrepancy..Nikita, like i said, has an Australian accent, while her mother dearest has an American one. I realize they've been apart for a long time, but...long enough for one or the other's accents to completely change? I don't think so.
And Birkoff having a twin brother...how funny was that? The twin was rich and living dangerously and was surrouned by women...I don't think the creators should have dropped that on us so fast. I sure wasn't ready to see an image of Birkoff as a sex-ridden, drugged out, disgustingly rich....dweeb.
Walter just makes my heart melt. He's like a 60 year old teenager walking around with his cowboy boots and tight pants and do-rag. What a fun character. The show wouldn't be the same without him.
Have I blabbered enough about this show? Well, it could be worse...you could have hair like Alberta Watson.
In other news, I got my hair cut on Thursday. It is so short. I was kinda upset because I've been TRYING to grow it out forever, and I only asked for a trim, but I came out of the salon with my hair waaaaay shorter. Oh well. I finally accepted it....
Sleep Hollow is one of the best movies I've seen in a while (besides High Fidelity of course). Jonny Depp has earned my respect for his acting in this movie. It's perfect, right on cue, completely entertaining. The facial expressions he has are great! When he's looking over bodies or when he jumped out of the way of a spider? Just go rent the movie and watch his gorgeous face. You'll see what I'm talking about....I laughed hysterically when he jumped away from the spider. As a raging arachnophobic myself, I sympathized with his hilarious character. That movie didn't scare me at all- the head lopping scenes were rather fake and the blood unrealistic. Although certain things did gross me out and get my pulse a-racin'....the scene where ichabod's mother falls out of that torture device with all the blood? Or when the witch jumps on him? How bout when the heads in the tree start getting sucked back in?
And although I really would have liked it if Jonny had kissed Christina, I'm kinda glad he didn't....he is after all, 37 and she's what? 19? Aw heck, I'm 16 and I'd jump him. But when they were just SITTING THERE on the bed LOOKING at each other....his intense dark eyes....*sigh*
Anyway that movie was an artisitc masterpiece. Props to Tim Burton for an outstanding movie.
I also saw Being John Malkovich
....what a head trip. That movie was Weird. John Malkovich was pretty funny though....when he's in his own head and everybody around him is himself? That was hysterical...in a twisted way. And Maxine was just the biggest bitch. Poor poor Lottie. She got her head screwed with more than the great Malkovich. John Cusack, definitely one of my favorite actors of all time, proved himself still worthy in this film. He sank to a new low and really redefined "pathetic" but all in all it was an experience worth enduring.
Go rent those now and also pick up Dogma. What a great movie. Why not get 200 Cigarettes too. Ooooh and um.....what else was under new releases when I went? Fight Club. Haven't seen that since it was in theaters. I have to prepare myself to watch that again. I haven't seen Snow Falling on Cedars or Cider House Rules OR American Beauty. I need to see those. Is it coincidence that I usually don't see the movies that win Academy Awards but i've seen most of what runs away with everything at the MTV awards?
I bought these flip flops, you know the thong kind with the thing between your toes? They absolutely killed my feet, and I won't go into specifics so as NOT to gross you out too much, but my poor tootsies are definitely sore.
I'M GOING TO THE BRAVES GAME TOMORROW NIGHT!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOO!!! I won't see my Rocker baby though. I admit, he's bigoted, and in desperate need of anger management classes, but i'm a fan nonetheless. I haven't been to the staduim since...well.....OPENING opening day. You know, the FIRST game ever played in the new stadium? Yeah, I was there. HA. And I regret not going sooner and seeing Rocker. That would have made my life. Not exactly, I'm not THAT pathetic.....but, it would have made me happy for a while.
I'm looking forward to June 23.....you know what happens then? Chicken Run comes to theaters everywhere!!!! "But I don't want to be a pie!!" hahahaha i crack up every time I see that preview. Just 14 days. 2 weeks exactly. I'm countin down. Do you want to go see it with me??? YAY!!!! I'm excited!!
Hey look for me on TV tomorrow night, me being at the game and all. Are we playing the redsocks i wonder? We were beating them the last time i saw the score tonight.....it was the 6th inning and maddux was pitching. Thrilling. woooohooo!!
