A Rose's Kiss

Once upon a time, in a far away land, there lived a girl in a bubble. Her bubble floated directly above a green grassy hill filled with violets and roses. Among the flowers stood lonely rock statues. The tall stone figures were engraved with messages, but a thick mold covered all the words. At times the girl would sit and ponder about the sculptures, leaving her very bewildered. So most of the time the girl paid the rocks no mind. Everyday the people from all the land came and waved at the girl in her bubble, and some would even try to yell things at her. But this was pointless because she had no ears. So she would just laugh and blow them kisses. Every night the girl would lay in her bubble and gaze at the stars. She had a name for each one, and considered them her closest friends. But the one star that she secretly liked the most was not in the sky, it was inside her dreams. The girl dreamed quite often, for there isnt much else to do inside a bubble. One morning the girl woke up to see that all of her violets had wilted. This made her feel lonely. The next morning the girl woke up and saw that all of the grass had turned brown. This made her feel unhappy so she went back to sleep. The following morning the girl woke to see that all of her roses had been picked. Except for one. This made her feel angry. Then suddenly the sky grew dark upon the hill, and clouds that once befriended the girl grew fierce. Now no people waved, and no stars shone for her. The girl saw this and became even madder. The angrier she got, the more her bubble grew. Soon the bubble grew so large it almost touched the rose. When the rose saw the trouble she was in, it blew her kiss. This sent the bubble floating up high above the clouds. The girl looked down from her bubble and blew the rose a kiss. 1
