Who's underpaid and under-fed and
Gets not credit till he's dead,
Works all day and half the night
Protecting people and their rights.

Who's orderd in to stop a fight
"But please don't take the
Poor punks knife, cause you
might hurt his Civil Rights."

Who's life is microscopic viewed
And has no chance to air
His views, just do his duty
Till he's through
........................The Cop.

Who's later called an SOB when he
Helps a drunk to blind to see,
Who takes the publics gaff and risks
But pay is based on politics
........................The Cop.

If and when you get to Heaven
And St. Pete is on break,
Wonder who will check you through
Those big old pearly gates?
