"Trap"

Acid denial, a mind to drown all hope,
he's going for impossibilities
and a no won't make him stop
It's been me vs. you for so many years
He never wanted this disease
he never wanted you to leave
He can give you anybody's dreams
and he'll smile like an angel
while you sleep and scream
Yeah he's going for an ending
for a misery that will last
He's headed for your soul
so you better think fast
And oh, but still he loves you
and it's eating at his core
Distance didn't matter
he always wanted more
I can see desaster
him trapped in a hope long gone
and sometimes I still wonder
if the trap had trapped just one
I've seen you look, my master
I saw it in your eyes
I sometimes ask myself:
who said the truth, who lied
