Wisconsin Lasagna

----------------------

I alway like to try different variations of standard fare.
Here is a fantastic recipe that is big on meat and cheese.
Enjoy!

Ingredients for pudding:

9 lasagna noodles
3 lbs. ground beef
onion and garlic to taste
salt and pepper to taste
29 oz. can of tomato sauce
15 oz. can tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. oregano
1 lb. colby cheese, shredded
freshly shredded Parmesan cheese or Three Cheese Blend
(Parmesan, Romano, & Asiago)

Preparation:

Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions;
drain and set aside.

Cook ground beef with onion, garlic, salt and pepper until no longer pink; drain.
Add tomato sauce and oregano; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 25 minutes.

Place 1/4 of meat mixture in bottom of 9"x13" baking dish;
sprinkle 1/3 of Colby cheese over meat, cover with 3 noodles.
Repeat layers, ending with meat.

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
Remove from oven; uncover, and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
