Ingredients:
3/4 cups uncooked rice
3/4 cup sugar
1 quart milk
1 can (14 oz.) evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
raisins (optional)
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 Tbsp. water
Preparation:
In a large saucepan, cook rice according to
package.
Drain any additional liquid and add
milk,
evaporated milk, and vanilla.
Mix and let simmer for 20 minutes.
Mix cornstarch
with the water and add to rice mixture.
Simmer
for 20 minutes longer.
Let cool, add raisins and serve.
Makes 6 servings.
