Ingredients:
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
2 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup heath brickle (found in the chocolate chip department)
Preparation:
Blend flour, butter, and sugars. Reserve 1/2 cup of
this mixture. To the rest add buttermilk, soda, egg and
1/2 cup heath brickle. Blend well.
Pour into a greased and floured 10x14 pan (or close to
that size).
Bake 15 minutes at 350. Then sprinkle with topping (below)
and continue to bake 15 minutes longer.
Topping:
Mix remaining heath brickle with 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
and 1/2 cup of reserved mixture.
