Maryland Crab Cakes

Everyone should know about how wonderful Maryland crabcakes.
It is much more about the ingredients than it is about the cooking.
Yum. To make these more heart healthy,
try broiling them instead of frying them.
Enjoy!

Ingredients:

l egg
2 Tbsp. margarine
l/2 tsp. salt
l/4 tsp. pepper
l/2 tsp. dry mustard
l/2 tsp. parsley
3/4 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
1 pound lump or back fin crab meat
1 cup broken crackers or breadcrumbs

Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients and combine with crabmeat.

Shape into 6 cakes; cover each side with cracker meal.

Cook cakes in fry pan with very little oil or butter until brown.

This cooking takes about 5 minutes on each side of cake.
