Saturn's moon glistened on my window as we slowly passed it. This trip had gone on now, for three long days. Hasn't been all that bad, there is this woman sitting next to me that is quite nice looking. She has to be 18 at least; too old for my 15 year old self. But that is okay, I just enjoy the view. Come to think of it, all of these passengers are mighty older than I am. I wonder if they notice that my age is quite smaller than theirs. I know that the two behind me are way to into each other to worry about another's age. How long have they been saying, "'I love you.' 'No, I love YOU.'"? The two teens to the right of me looked innocent. They didn't talk to each other most of the trip and one looked a lot like he was always happy. He also had this fragrance to him, that had the sweetest smell. Wasn't sour or harsh, just very sweet. The girl next to him must have enjoyed it because every time he would come back from his sleeping quarters he would have that smell to him, then she would just get a little closer to him and kind of smile. Weird people... The "couple" behind me to the right side of the isle were of a different stature. The one guy sitting there looked mighty, well, angry. He just had that mad look to him, and his lady friend wasn't much of a jolly ol' soul either. They must have been mad at each other or something. The ship had always had an alarm to tell us when it was time to sleep. It was one of those new ones that went to planets farther than mars, so trips took longer than a day. Technology is weird like that. We can make an awesome leap in one instant and then take forever to get any farther past what we have done. No initiative. Well, tonight, after the alarmed sounded, we got up to go to our quarters and sleep. As I, and my memory is very able at this moment, stood up, out of the corner of my eye I could see there was something wrong with the computer system. I ignored it because I am just ignorant and lazy. Then, as I zipped up my quarters the ship began to shake tremendously. Zipping up my quarters proved to be a task now. After I zipped up my quarters I felt an immediate shock in my back. I really thought we crashed. Then after I ripped out of my quarters I came to find out my fear was a truth. So, here I am, sitting on a piece of our wing and writing in my journal. We have few rubber bands and pencils are scarce. Without food and firewood, how will we survive? How will our lives continue? "Are you gonna help or just sit there? We can't do this alone and we are NOT leaving any one of us alone, after what happened to the other guy and his girl." I remembered that event. It was earlier when we had "arrived" on this desolate rock. The woman and man that sat behind me figured they would go "explore". I just figured they went to go screw or something. Well, later on in the day she comes running with half her clothes stripped, as if some animal just ripped her shirt apart. We came to find out that a big rabbit with razor sharp teeth had come out of the woods while they were having a make-out session. It just, "came up from the shadows," she said. She later died of a heart attack, poor girl. So now everyone was on watch. Making sure that rabbit wouldn't attempt any funny business. If it did, we had a revolver, old looking, that was found in the cockpit, that would take care of him. But, that wacky Bugs Bunny rip-off was the least of our problems. We had to figure out a way to get help, ration food, and live. The plan, as I understood it, was that there was to be no leader. Each of us, no matter age or gender would have an equal say. Everything would be rationed out in equal portions. This form of government was quite healthy the first few weeks. Everything was very good for those first few weeks, except we lost another two people. During those first weeks when we all started thinking of what must be done that guy with the sweet fragrance and the woman next to him started to develop an attraction to each other. They would always wake up and head off to the woody area of the planet. They would always come back, but they would always be so smiley faced and happy, so I figured they just were together or something. It kind of made me mad, because here these two were getting good and I was back here, alone. Well, one day they didn't come back, so we all figured they got eaten by the rabbit. Now I don't let the fact they had someone affect me anymore. We never really had a plan to leave this dense rock. It was an unspoken want, yet we unconsciously knew we would never leave. We would never get out of this, no one knows we are here, and after the first year, we just knew no one cared. There is a great amazement how a person can live with a certain amount of food so long. It wasn't as if we could plant the rubber bands and grow them, and they were getting short supplied; I was down to my last pouch of 1000, which would last me about another two months. The other three are a big mystery to me. There movements are quite suspenseful and anticipated. We all knew that we wanted everyone else's food. It is that raw animal like feeling that you experience when you need a certain thing. The three that are still alive are as follows: the man who looked angry all the time, came to tell me his name was Anthony, and the other two women, Zerea and Felecia. I somewhat feared Anthony. His touch exterior sort of frightened me. I knew that one day I would turn around and he would be there, wide grinned and just end me right there. I may have grown over these two years, but so has he. But he proved to be a very nice guy. Looked out for me, like i was his little brother or something. It was cool, until the day I woke up with a face and body buried in sand. You see, we had started running scarce on rubber bands and we had never decided to explore the planet because of the rabbit. We knew that the rabbit hadn't attacked in a long period of time so we ventured out into the woods. It was a densely packed jungle of unknown plants and funguses, so Anthony and I just chose a plant and started eating. After the first plant Anthony got really funny acting. He started to throw up, so I figured it was just a bad plant to eat and that I should avoid it. After puking his soul he decided that he wanted to go to the beach and wanted me to come along with him. We had seen water on the other side of the clearing so we went towards that direction. Upon arriving there he dove straight in and raved about how amazing the water felt on his body. He wouldn't shut up about it. Finally he just simply decided he wanted to bury me in sand, just to see if he could do it. Little did I know he could, and he just left me there, under a foot of sand, until Felecia came by and unburied me. Felecia was the eighteen year old that sat next to me on that lemon of a ship. She is more beautiful now than she was then, and even though our age difference is still the same, there was a sort of attraction between us that could be filled now. Before, even when the age difference was the same, it would have seemed wrong, but now it is possible, and she is not a bad catch. She has the most beautiful smile that could melt you in your seat, then bring you back with her voice and make you need to hear it more. That proved to never be. She decided she couldn't handle this insanity and shot herself. I will never understand women. This is the last month I know I shall have alive. The rubber bands are getting scarce. Anthony is going quite insane; he has never been the same since that incident in the woods. Zerea just keeps to herself and prays. I never understood how people could pray to a God that damns people to hell when they begin to find themselves. I would much rather pray to my God who wants me to be who I am and loves me for it instead of damning me for it. She never talks about it much though, poor soul. And so there it was: Us three at the table, gun laying on its side about to be spun. How we got there and why it proceeded as it did amazed me. I had developed a taste for the plant my big brother loved so much. After the initial sickness, you develop a tingly sensation inside and you have a really good time with everything around you. I could see how a person could develop this hobby into a habit and it was probably the reason for the agreement to play this little game we had. So we spun the gun, which landed on Zerea. She did her sign of the cross and pulled. I remember her screaming after that and then Anthony getting up to shoot her because she didn't know how to play. He hated cheaters and for some reason screaming was not allowed. Well if a man has to follow rules or get shot, he will follow them. It was just me and him then. Gun facing me; my turn. I knew that if it held my card then he would live. But what would be do? Would he eat everyone's rubber bands and then just die off alone? Or, would he just simply eat them and shoot himself dead, just to see if he could get rescued or not? He was a very twisted man, but a real nice guy. I picked up the gun, hand shaking and pulled the trigger. Nothing happened and I kept a straight face throughout the whole ordeal. If I were playing poker, I could have pulled off any bluff I chose to. Poker was never my game though, not a real game like the one we were playing. It takes a real man to cheat death, or so I believed after heavily induced with those exotic plants of ecstasy. He picked up the switch to his life, raised it to his head and closed his eyes... He was a nice man, a little twisted but nice. And to anyone who finds this, let them know all the people who died here had lives, they were not just another joe or jane. They had people to meet, people to be with and it was taken from them by some twist of fate. Not by choice, but by cause. To bad the ride couldn't have lasted longer...
