The Women's Shelter of East Texas provides many services to eligible clients at no cost. The Women's Shelter's Mission is: The Women's Shelter of East Texas Inc. is a nonprofit organization incorporated to enchance the safety of men, women and children from family violence and sexual assault. Through education and community awareness, such occurences can be reduced or prevented by providing emergency crisis and advocacy services. The Women's Shelter of East Texas, Inc. is a non-profit, United Way Agency. Their sources of funding also include The Department of Human Resources, Victims of Crime Act (VOCA), the Office of the Attorney General, various grants, and the generosity of concerned citizens. The Women's Shelter currently serves nine counties including: Nacogdoches, San Jacinto, Houston, Sabine, San Augustine, Trinity, Angelina, Polk, and Shelby. Services Offered
