| The
MPEG Layer III is a format that allows to compress CD quality audio files
in 8:1 rates without any lost that can be listened (or even viewed), and
compress ratios of 11:1 or 13:1 with insignificant loses.
It
really more CPU intensive than others audio codecs, but this is compensated
by it's excellent quality.
