WORK EXPERIENCE

PIPELINE TECHNOLOGY 3/99 – Present
Did full life cycle development of a 100% Pure Java search engine registration service. This currently runs as a first-class Service under Windows NT 4.0, using HotSpot and JDK 1.2.1. Also participated in many aspects of Web development in a Windows NT Server + IIS + SQL Server + ASP environment, including significant VBScript scripting and database involvement.

ROMAC INTL 7/98 – 12/98
Participated in the implementation of a large 3-tier client server system using Visual C++, MFC, ATL, COM, DCOM, Rogue Waves dbtools++ and Oracle 7. Participated in both GUI and server side implementation.

TECHNOLOGY LOCATOR CORPORATION 2/98 – 7/98
Designed and implemented a COM object for controlling a LEADER HC device using Visual C++, Greenleaf Comm++ and ATL. Integrated this COM object with the MFC based main application.

STELLCOM, INC 6/96 – 12/97
Designed and implemented various portions of a thin-client telemarketing system constructed using Netscape Communicator, JavaScript, Allaire Cold Fusion and Sybase 11. Investigated use of Java in the context of this system, including prototyping.

SURFACE OPTICS CORPORATION 2/96 – 6/96
Designed and implemented an optical coatings design tool using the Borland Delphi RAD tool. Converted a complex algorithm that predicted optical properties for surface coatings from FORTRAN to C++.

GTE ENTERTAINMENT 9/95 - 2/96
Designed and implemented software in C++ for TimeLapse, a CD ROM game product. This application was targeted for Windows 95 using the Win 32 API. Created sprite classes, sound classes, and gameplay logic classes.

SURFACE OPTICS CORPORATION 6/95 -9/95
Led development of a control and analysis program for a bi-directional reflectometer device. This program was developed using Visual C++, Symantec C++, and Windows 3.1 API. The target environment was Windows 95.

GEORGIA TECH RESEARCH INSTITUTE 6/94 - 6/95
Led analysis, design, and development of a spectral analysis tool in Borland C++ and Windows NT 3.5 using the zApp cross-platform toolkit. Designed and developed a video capture program in C++ using OpenGL, and native video capture tools on a Silicon Graphics Indy 2.

HORIZONS TECHNOLOGY INC. 6/88 - 6/94
Led the design and development of a portable, object oriented software package based on the scientific simulation software EMAT. This software was developed using the SunOS, X-Motif, C++, C and FORTRAN. Responsible for overall system and GUI design, and participated in implementation, as well as providing guidance for other team members.

SURFACE OPTICS CORPORATION 5/87 - 6/88
Ported a large FORTRAN optical analysis package from a VMS environment to SunOS. Performed system administration for the Sun network consisting of a 3/26Oc server, a 3/60M server, and a PC running PC/NFS.

INTELLIGENT IMAGES INCORPORATED 12/86 - 4/87
Designed and implemented interactive videodisc applications for medical training. This software was developed in C for MS-DOS.

TOUCH TECHNOLOGIES INCORPORATED 8/85 - 11/86
