[Atari Logo]As a youth, like millions of other kids, I owned an Atari 5200 SuperSystem. I loved it, and played it constantly. The Atari 5200 is considered by many, including myself, the greatest home gaming system ever made. It supported the best games, and had the best graphics, options, etc. I still remembering opening it Christmas day and begging my parents to let me hook it up, so I could start playing. Ah, those were the good times.

Back in 1990, I hadn't played my Atari 5200 for several years, and it was sitting in a box. Since I was heavily into computers, I decided to sell it (bad, bad move). Years later I started to miss my Atari 5200 and those good times I had with it. I contacted the person that I sold it to, and found out they sold it to someone else. To make a long story short, I reacquired my Atari 5200, but the other owners had not been kind to it. :< All four controllers (2 of which were in great condition, and the other two fair condition) were gone, the power supply and RF adapter were gone, and the base unit has some cosmetic pieces missing. I almost cried. Fortunately, I did get back 26 of the 29 cartridges I had, but no manuals or boxes. :>

(Atari 5200 Pac-Man Cartridge)

Since October of 1998 I have made it my mission to restore this great system back to a functional state. I have been able to acquire another working Atari 5200 (2-port version, my original is a 4-port version), the Atari 5200 power cable, and an RF adapter for the 2-port Atari 5200 (only). In early 2006 I was able to acquire the missing 4-port RF adapter (NIB) and two cosmetic parts missing from my 4-port unit, plus some missing cartridges, manuals and boxes. :>
