I�m currently working at SENTRON.Our main product is the rotating display called Vortextor.It is a vertical line of LEDs commanded by a microcontroller, giving the impression that the text has no physical support.The first 16 LED, text-only version was copied by a german company and widely distributed under the commercial name of magicball. Now we produce them with 24 LED�s having full graphic capabilities in globe and candelabrum (ceiling attachable) version. The globe version is something like this:
