Down To Earth

                   Do you really want to know who I am?
                   Then walk outside and take a look around.
                  Go deep into the mountains and woods of Mother Earth

                                
                     It makes me feel wild like an animal, almost a savage
                     And in her purest form I try not to ravage
                         The beauty, peace, and freedom that I gain
                          Whenever I trespass upon their terrain.

                       And any large or small creature I'm allowed to see
                              I store it in my precious treasure of memories.
                          Because this is the place where they truly do belong
                            And in their lifestyle they do no wrong.
                                     
                            They are wise in ways we cannot understand
                            The answers will never be wholly revealed to man.
                                  When I'm out in the open let their spirits be my guide
                              Sharpen my senses and let me run by their side
                               Be my guide and let me see through your eyes.
                                              
                             Set me free to touch, taste, see, and smell
                               All that I hold dear and love so well.
                            For someday I know this vision will depart
                             I hope I'm not here for it would break my spirit and heart.
