Dragoi University of Connecticut Institute for Materials Science Postdoctoral Research Position in Electron Microscopy The Institute for Materials Science (IMS) at UConn is an interdisciplinary center with the threefold mission of fostering education, research and outreach in all areas of the materials sciences. Due to a re-organization of the IMS Microscopy Unit, a Postdoctoral Position has become available in the area of transmission electron microscopy. The appointee will be involved in a range of academic and industrial projects, and will assist in developing the TEM facilities. Candidates should hold a PhD in Materials Science, Physics or a related discipline and must have extensive hands-on experience in a broad range of electron microscopy techniques. Experience in instrument development and/or computer image processing/simulation would be beneficial. The appointment is for one year in the first instance and is available immediately.
