Tarnava Nr. 1 Timisoara 1900 Romania SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE The 3rd Conference on Condensed Matter Physics is organized by ICMC Timisoara and Institute of Applied Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova in the frame of Academic Days. The aim of the Conference is to identify new ways for promoting the cooperation and research in the field of advanced materials science. The topics of the Conference will be focused on the processing methods and on the physical properties of advanced materials, modeling of their structure and their properties as well as on practical applications. SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM Advanced materials: processing, physical properties, applications Experimental methods for charac-terization of the condensed matter Theory and modelling in material science with particular emphasis on: - crystalline materials - amorphous and quasicrystalline materials - nanosystems and composite materials - thin films and multilayers PRESENTATION: The Conference will include invited papers and contributed papers. Contributed papers will be selected for oral presentation, and for poster session. The Conference language will be English. NOTES FOR CONTRIBUTORS The abstracts of the papers will comply with the following: will be edited in Word for Windows (ver 6 - 8), 1.5 lines, 2.5 cm margins, font Times New Roman, 13 pts; the title will be written with 14 pts characters; authors names and their affiliation and address (phone, fax, email) will be written with 12 pts. characters, underlining the name of the author who presents the paper; max 250 words. PAPERS STRUCTURE The papers selected by the Scientific Committee will be published in Romanian Journal of Physics. The extension of papers will be maximum 4 pages (6-8 pages for invited papers). The editorial rules are those specified by the Romanian Journal of Physics. DEADLINES Abstracts: May 30th 1999. Acceptance: June 15th 1999. Manuscript: September 16th 1999.
