IBMConv V2.4

Hello and welcome!

Version 2.4 is a simple bug fix. Facilities added to 2.3 include:

  • BOOPSI Gadgets on Interface - NOT MUI.
  • File Splitting.
  • File Splitting during conversions.
  • Improved Icon handling.
  • Overwriting files can now be avoided by cancelling the operation.
If you have supported the Amiga since 1992, you may have heard of a program called IBMConv. It was a simple program to convert IBM style text files to Amiga/Unix format.

There were other programs at the time, but some only worked one way, and others were simply inflexible, didn't support pipes etc., so I wrote my own.

A brand spanking new version available is IBMConv 2.4 (See above for a list of features).

  • Amiga/Unix to PC conversion of text files.

  • Output can go to PIPE: or similar devices where no filename is required, or directory searching prevents the device normally being used.
