The camera does a back-up.
There is a semi-decent sized cemetary slightly off of the beach. The cemetary seems like something that was just thrown together originally and then repaired later on. The only thing that is not cracked or telling a story over a century year old is a small building off to the back of the cemetary. The whole cemetary is covered in a thin bank of fog.
Just towards the cliffs over stage left is a cave.
The cave seems to be pretty deep with a rock overhang over the mouth of the cave. Bats are flying in and out of it
The hooded-figure walks onwards towards the cemetary. He stops at a couple of the tombstones and runs his hands ever so easily across them.
The clouds finally open-up and it begins to rain. The hooded figure removes his hood and is clearly seen as Sickle
Sickle tilts his head back, and lets the rain flow down on him. He then looks at the camera and begins to speak.
: You know its funny this is one of the places where it all began. At this exact location I did one of my first promotions. It was actually along the beach, and then into the cave against some pyscho named Savyor. This is where my career took off.
Sickle goes back to looking at the tombstones for a couple of minutes, while the rain runs down his robe. Sickle start to talk again without looking up
: What is it about ghost stories that scare us? Or maybe I should refrase the question. What is it about ghosts that frighten us? What is it about ghosts that catches our eyes or ears? While some might say it is the transparency or the creepy aura they tend to have I personally believe it goes much deeper than that. I beleive we are intrigued by ghosts because of fear. Not fear of the ghosts themselves, not to say they arent scary, but rather fear of death. Not necessarily fear of dying but fear of what dying will be like. Fear of how we will die. But overall it is fear of the unknown, the unanswered, the uncertaintanty of death is a very real fear inside of every person alive whether they admit it or not. It is our fear of death that causes other fears like a fear of heights, and fear of airplanes. The fear of death is a core fear for all we see is someone dies and they are no longer participants in the activities in life
You know it is amusing that neither one of us showed up to the match. Personally I figured I would wait awhile before I answered all the questions but back to point
It is the unknown of who was Lucid Nightmare, what is he really like? How can I get under his skin? That kind of unknowingness got me this title. In all reality the mask may be off but just like death you say you know who I am and what I am capable of but deep inside none of you have a clue.
You know something else that is amusing, almost two years ago I faced Jaguar in WPW in a regular match, and I won. Now some trainee of his is going to fight me at the next Shockwave? What is this a joke Lee? Lee first I am going to whoop your ass and then I am going to whoop Joey Sanders ass
Do not mistake me Joey Sanders is an awesome athlete but he is not ready to face the veteran skills of moi. Sure he can handle some light heavyweight rookies but he probably has not set foot in a ring with a real veteran other than training with Jaguar.
Joey, you can say all the stuff you want to but the bottomline is this is not the Sickle that came out in IFW and lost three times before he finally got a win. This is not even the Sickle that was in SWF, BBWF,WPW, UWF, or even the OLD EFW. This is a new Sickle that you will be stepping into the ring with. You will be stepping into the ring with Sickle, the Armeggedon, the bringer of damnation, the draco, the gothic icon and now the LUCID NIGHTMARE! For those of you who do not know the meaning of the word Lucid I will gladly translate. But first I will explain my other knicknames.
First there is the Armeggedon. You see in the BIBLE the Armeggond is the FINAL battle. The end, there is no way around it. I am very much the armeggedon of wrestling. There is no way around me. There is no way to prevent me. Now onto the next one
The next one of course would be the bringer of damnation. I bring damnation or terror to the ring every single time and regardless of the outcome of the match my opponent will be rendered helpless.
The draco of course is a latin version of the word dragon. Dragons were known in folklore for cosuming anything and everything and much like a dragon I will consume my opponents. Both at Shockwave and at Solar Flare, teacher or not.
The gothic icon I got because as of late the true gothic wrestlers are slim and few and I represent those that are true and I am happy to be a representative of my subculture
And last but certainly not least is Lucid Nightmare. For those of you who do not know Lucid means realistic. So Joey prepare yourself for you will be facing reality when you step into this ring. Not just any reality though but a realistic nightmare.
You know when it rains it is like a cleansing of the earth, like a new beginning, that is what it was like for me when I became Lucid Nightmare. For me it was a new beginning in the EFW. I bet you are still wondering why the reference to ghosts? Well, death and the root of all fears was not my only reason for this reference. You see Joey just like a ghost ever since I have been Lucid Nightmare I have been untouchable. Just like a ghost there is no way to really get rid of me. I will reak havock and there is really no way to stop me. You could pull every bunny you have out of the old wrestling moves hat and I would just smile and ask for more. I will take everything you could possibly use against me and just throw it back at you.
You may be rookie of the month Joey but I am the veteran of the year. You see Joey much like the Borg say resistance is futile. I am beyond your reaches. So Joey while you toss and turn and look at the moon. Know that you will face me in the ring soon. You see Joey I am the shadow on the moon at night filling your dreams to the brim with fright. For while some nightmares have no faces some are all too real
