| About the Artist |
| He's Ginuwine . . . a
genuine star in the making.
Described by reviewers as a master showman, Ginuwine has made his mark on the music world since releasing his debut album, Ginuwine The Bachelor, in October 1996. The platinum album featured singles like "Pony" which reached #1 on the R&B charts and #6 on the Pop charts. The album hit #19 on Billboard's R&B albums, and #45 on the Top 200. With worldwide sales reaching more than 2 million, other radio hits followed ("Tell Me Do U Wanna" and I'll Do Anything/I'm Sorry.") Ginuwine gained more fame with his club performances and large-scale concerts. A major U.S. arena tour in August 1997 included the talents of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Mary J. Blige, Aaliyah, and Dru Hill. Ginuwine says, "Performing live is why I got into the business." Being a master performer helped Ginuwine in his next venture, a dramatic acting debut on the CBS series Martial Law. He played a singer and the nephew of Arsenio Hall's character. Ginuwine says he was excited by the acting opportunity, but music is his priority and will remain his first love. His love of music led to his next project, 100% Ginuwine, in which he definitely gave 100% starting with the lead single, "What's So Different," produced by hit-maker Timbaland. With his unique storytelling style, Ginuwine could strike gold with this project. The highlights of the album include a one-of-a-kind first blues-R&B-Rap song, stories of lost loves, beautiful love ballads and a Top Ten cut from the Dr. Doolittle soundtrack. Accompanied by bomb beats and his sultry voice, this blend of sounds makes 100% Ginuwine his best work yet. |
