| About the Album |
| 'No Name Face' the debut album for the group Lifehouse is an inspirational alt-rock sound in that it's main goal is of searching for the truths of the spiritual, personal and emotional meanings of life. On tracks like 'Hanging By', A Moment' and 'Only One' this is evident. They keep the music in the background therefore letting the lyrics and vocals shine through. |
| About the Artist |
| Jason Wade is a black
belt in Du Ye Chi Tao and uses the discipline of his martial art to
inspire the music of his band. His lyrics often reflect the ideals of many
Eastern belief systems, namely spiritual enlightenment and self-discovery.
Wade has music in his blood. His mother played guitar and sang in a '70s
Folk-Pop trio. Not long after his parents broke up, Wade got his first
guitar. At age 12, with his new guitar in hand, he began to write his own
songs.
Lifehouse (originally known as Blyss) was formed in 1996 by the 16-year-old Wade and bassist Sergio Andrade. The band took shots at stardom in Portland and Seattle before settling in Los Angeles. Now based in LA, the band consists of four members. Lifehouse is an Alternative Pop/Rock outfit in the vein of bands like Live and Matchbox Twenty. According to the band's official website (www.lifehousemusic.com), "They separate themselves from the pack, however, with Jason's sonorous vocals and a finely calibrated sense of dynamics. The players move fluidly from solid Electric Rock to more pensive, acoustic sounds." Lifehouse played gigs in and around Los Angeles for three years, building its fan base, before signing to DreamWorks in 2000. The group issued its first single, "Hanging By A Moment," in 2000 before releasing the debut album, No Name Face, later in the year. Brendan O'Brien (U2, Rage Against The Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam) mixed the record, and Ron Aniello (Jude, Kendall Payne, Shannon McNally) produced it. |
