For your convenience, we offer three shipping options: Ground, Priority, and Express. Some items cannot be shipped via the Priority and/or Express options. These items are clearly identified in our online store. Some very large or heavy items must be shipped to you via freight carrier. These items, too, are clearly identified on our site, as are their shipping and handling costs. We can ship most items to military APO/FPO addresses, although some restrictions apply. Because of varying item availability and shipping locations, you may receive more than one shipment per order. We will not charge you extra for split shipments. More about shipping.

Shipping Policy
We ship to all states, including Alaska and Hawaii, plus the following major protectorates and territories of the United States: American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau and U.S. Virgin Islands. We also ship to APO and FPO addresses, although not all items can be shipped to these addresses.

We do not ship to international addresses except for the locations listed above.

The ship times in the following chart apply to merchandise shipped within the continental United States. You can use the ship times in the chart to help determine the total delivery time for your order. Please refer to the information below the chart to calculate total delivery times.

Example: A music CD that usually ships in 2 to 3 days and is sent via Ground shipping (3 to 6 days) will arrive in 5 to 9 business days.

Shipping and Handling Costs
Shipping and handling costs vary by item type, item size, item weight and shipping method. We've tried to make our shipping policy as fair as possible, so you benefit from our Every Day Low Prices plus the convenience of delivery to your door.

For each item, there is a fixed charge plus a per-item charge. Fixed and per-item charges differ according to the classification of each item. Books, for example, have a fixed shipping charge of $2.97 and an additional per-item shipping charge of $0.97 (assuming Ground shipping). Shipping a single book, therefore, would cost $3.94 ($2.97 + $0.97). Shipping two books would cost $4.91 ($2.97 + $0.97 + $0.97).

The fixed shipping cost for orders containing items from multiple shipping categories is based on the highest fixed charge in the order plus the variable (per-item) charge for each item. Example: A customer orders a book with a fixed shipping charge of $2.97 and a per-item charge of $0.97. The order also includes a stereo boombox with a fixed charge of $5.14 and per-item charge of $0.97. The shipping charge for the order would be the highest fixed charge in the order ($5.14) plus the individual per-item charges ($0.97 + $0.97), for a total shipping charge of $7.08.

The total shipping cost for your order will be displayed on the "Shipping Method" page, and again on the "Order Verification" page, as you proceed through checkout.

We do ship to APO/FPO military addresses. Please note, however, that not all items can be shipped to APO/FPO addresses. These items are clearly identified on our site. When shipping to an APO/FPO address, delivery may take 3 to 6 weeks. Further restrictions on item type, size and weight may exist in the country in which the APO/FPO address is located. Some merchandise may not be deliverable to these countries. Please contact your local post office to verify item type, size and weight restrictions for the country in which your APO/FPO address is located.

Some large and oversize items, which are clearly identified on our site, have their own unique shipping and handling costs. The shipping charge for each oversize item appears on the cart page when you add such items to your shopping cart. Please note: Oversize items cannot be shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. protectorates and territories, or APO/FPO addresses.

When gifts are shipped, no order price or shipping charge will be shown on the invoice enclosed with the order.

Shortly after placing your order, you will receive an email confirming that we have received your order. You will receive a second email when your order is shipped. (You will receive more than one shipping-confirmation email if your order is fulfilled in multiple shipments.)

We're sorry, but items containing regulated or hazardous materials cannot be shipped by air (Priority or Express shipping). Items that cannot be shipped by air are identified on the site.

Returns Policy

We are committed to your total satisfaction. If any item you receive from us is damaged, defective, or otherwise does not meet your expectations, simply return it to us. You can mail it back to us using the return shipping label enclosed with all standard shipments. We will pay return shipping costs. After the shipment is received and processed by our Returns Center, you will be refunded for the cost of the product and sales tax, if applicable. Sorry ¨C gift-wrapping charges (if any) are not refundable, and shipping charges are not refundable except in unusual circumstances. Processing your return, once we receive it, usually takes two business days.

If you prefer, you can return items by taking them to any E-CD store. Bring the product and the invoice that came with it (or a copy of your email invoice) to the Courtesy Desk at your local E-CD. The invoice is your sales receipt and must accompany all returns. You will be refunded immediately for the cost of the product and sales tax, if applicable. Sorry-gift-wrapping charges (if any) are not refundable, and shipping charges are not refundable except in unusual circumstances.
