The first lesson to be learned is how to address a Master/Mistress. The slave will address all FreePersons correctly. If the Master/Mistress is not the slave's owner she will address them as*for example* Master Will, Mistress Jana. If the Master/Mistress is their owner, They are then simply referred to as Master/Mistress. Hint: it is safer to address all those with Capitalized nicknames as Master/Mistress than to err in the other direction. If you are unsure the person addressing you is Gorean (i.e. Gorean or Master/Mistress does not appear in the person�s nickname or ID) then you will either need to clarify the issue with them, or Master/Mistress or the en sa'fora. another big hint: Gorean Masters do not use the title �Sir� as it would clearly identify the individual as an Earth Dom. However, slaves are always expected to be polite and respectful. While mentioning this, you are not expected to serve non-Goreans without your Master's/Mistress' expressed permissin to do so.

Remember to greet "in order" when you enter a Home Stone. Greet Your Master first then other Masters, then your Mistress,then Freewomen,then PantherGirls if they are allowed in your HS, then non-Goreans and do not lump the greeting all together! Slaves are always greeted last.

Save your flowery language for serves and positions. Unless, you are particularly thrilled to see someone, it's considered meaningless, because it is not heartfelt.

Respect to the all Masters/Mistresses is paramount in Gor. Disrespect towards ANY Master/Mistress will not be tolerated. On the other hand, slaves are treated with respect for who and what they are. If another Homestone,the Owner owns the slave will be contacted and informed if slave has not been pleasing.

Your owner is to be told of ALL of your activities when they are not with you. This is to keep them informed and for your own safety.
To a Gorean Master/Mistress, the most becoming of any potential slaves are the ones who present themselves as polite, respectful and eager to learn the ways.

If you have come to Gor expecting to fur(cyber) the Master/Mistress you have a wait infront of you. First you will be black silks for at least a week so that your skill level may be assessed. Then you will be most likely in white silks until you have achieved a certain level of understanding of Gor, positions expected, dances and how to serve the Free of Gor. Black silks and White silks are NOT allowed to fur or SHOW sexuality. This is very good incentive for you to work hard to earn your yellow silks!

Gorean slaves, who always speak in third person, are expected to ask permission for just about everything. Slaves must ask permission to speak, greet, or to whisper in IM to any Free Person.
Once you are given permission to greet and "speak freely" do NOT ask 1,000 time if you may greet as others come in the room. Also, if you have NOT been given permission to speak freely, wait until the person gets in the room and actually speaks before you ask permission!

Slaves must ask permission to be afk (away from the keyboard), Slaves must kneel at entrance and ask to enter before entering a room. If you wish to "beg" anything, whether it be entering room, or permission to speak you will type out the position of prostrate, if you don't think it important enough to "beg" then simply ask permission.

Slaves must also ask permission to leave a room.If the Master/Mistress does not respond. Then you must ask for a total of 3 times before you may leave without punishment. Also slave must ask permission to brb and must ask permission to return from brb.

Slaves are forbidden to change their nicks. Woe unto you, if you decide to do so in a Home Stone, WITHOUT a Master/Mistress permission. Once you become a slave, you CANNOT be in another nick as a Free person and come to Gor. That is death in Gor.

Slaves do NOT touch money or weapons of any kind, this also will mean instant death to the slave.

There is no "Yes, Master/Mistress, but.... ". A Master/Mistress may not be right, but he/she is never wrong! Slaves always has last words to Master/Mistress...that being "yes, Master/Mistress."

The hardest part for many slaves is learning how to be completely subservient, obedient, pleasing, no matter how challenged you are to maintain it. This is what a true Master/Mistress of Gor searches for, it is not the serving, positions, furring or dancing, it is the submission and obedience that are held upmost by Master/Mistress.

Seeking Master/Mistress Ko'lar
If you are looking for casual cyber sex, then Gor may not be for you. If you are seriously seeking a true Gorean , you might want to concentrate on training and learning.

Why would you need a kolar? A slave needs protection.
There are those in Gor that may take advantage of a un-kolared slave.
As an un-collared slave, you are "fresh meat", and you will feel like it soon after your arrival. This can range from merely using you sexually, without respect for the slave, to unwarranted harsh treatment. You could be abused in anyway anyone wants to until you are under protection of ko'lar, when that ko'lar goes around your neck there is then someone that is responsible for your actions and there is also someone to be dealt with IF anyone dares to attempt to harm you! This is when are you allowed to just say, "No, my Master/Mistress does not allow this slave to do that." or "slave is sorry she/he isn't trained in that area yet."

Once you are kolared you have NO PAST. You are not to speak to anyone of your past or your last name/nic, unless it is of your training or if Master has specifically told you to do so. You become slave under that ko'lar and the name Master/Mistress has given you.

It is important for you to understand what these ko-lars mean. A slave that has a HomeStone ko'lar is trained and expected to learn just as a personal slave is and is under the same rules as a personal slave while they seek the right Master/Mistress for them and are usually not used sexually by Master/Mistress. They are still owned by the one that protects them. A personal slave kolar wishes to belong to that Master/Mistress and no other and the Master/Mistress has seen that the slave has been and is willing to make great efforts to please him and learn his ways.

Make no mistake, once the kolar of any kind is upon your neck you are property and are owned.

Masters/Mistress' usually do not train their slaves, although they certainly can if they wish to. This is done by a slave house or by the "en sa'fora"(also known as 1st girl), which means first in Master/Mistress' chain. Whoever helps in your training is not training the you for his/her own pleasures, but is preparing you for the day when you will find the Master/Mistress to whom you will belong or to learn how to please your Master/Mistress.

When training is done by someone it is considered the their duty and part of the way she shows her submissiveness to Master or the Homestone in her willingness to train his other slaves. She is not doing this so that she may "play the part of Mistress", truth be known she most likely has been taken far into submissiveness to be trusted with such a task and it would be much easier for her personally if she did not have this duty. It is her duty to give the slave proper guidelines of behavior and introduce them to the different aspects of life as a slave. She is training others that they may know what is expected of them by Master/Mistress and teach them how to please him/her and what they are expected to learn next. This is not an easy job, for if the slave does not learn, or does not learn correctly she is held partically responsible and it is a direct reflection on her. She will correct you both in IM and in the room in order for you to learn.

The Trainer will tell the Master/Mistress when they feel the slave is ready for the next level of training or new silk colors, but ultimately it is up to Master/Mistress what the slave recieves and exactly when the slave recieves them. The Trainer will test their slaves ability to be sure that they are being trained properly and are in close and open communication with the owner.

Remember, anything that Master/Mistress gives you can be taken away if you are found displeasing, whether it be bells, tokens, beads, silks or titles. These are only things that Master/Mistress allows you to have, not things that he/she must give.

After reading this page, if you wish to beg ko'lar, you ask to go to Master/Mistress feet, then you speak to them of why you would want to be owned by them and of how you would submit to them then tell them you seek their kolar speaking from your heart. Or if you wish protection ko'lar same thing and tell them you seek their protection ko'lar. Be clear in which ko'lar you wish...once the lock is snapped...it's done.
