Position 1
Tower:
Boy drops to kneeling, his head high, his eyes lowered in respect, his back straight, his wrists crossed as though for binding resting on pressed together thighs...
(The position of the Tower Slave, in which Vika knelt, differs from that of a free woman only in the position of the wrists which are held before her and, when not occupied, crossed as though for binding. A free woman's wrists are never so placed
---Priest-Kings of Gor, page 46)
Position 2
Nadu:

Girl drops to kneeling, her head held high, her eyes lowered in respect, her back straight thrusting his chest forward, her palms up resting on open thighs.
The command gets its name nadu from the gorean word for kneel.
`Nadu!' he snapped. She swiftly turned, facing him, and dropped to her knees. She knelt back on her heels, her back straight, her hands on her thighs, her head up, her knees wide. It was the position of the pleasure slave.
Explorers of Gor p 77
Position 3
Kolar/Submit:

Girl goes to kneeling, her head high, eyes lowered in respect,
her back straight, her arms raised with wrists crossed
*Then, to my astonishment, the daughter of the Ubar Marlenus, daughter of the Ubar of Ar, knelt before me, a simple warrior of Ko-ro-ba, and lowered her head, lifting and extending her arms, the wrists crossed. It was that same simple ceremony that Sana had performed before me in the chamber of my father, back at Ko-ro-ba - the submission of the captive female. Without raising her eyes from the ground, the daughter of the Ubar said in a clear, distinct voice: 'I submit myself.'
Later I wished that I had had binding fiber to lash her so innocently proffered wrists. I was speechless for a moment, but then, remembering that harsh Gorean custom required me either to accept the submission or slay the captive, I took her wrists in my hands and said, 'I accept your submission.' I then lifted her gently to her feet."*
---Tarnsman of Gor, page 93-94
Position 4
Prostrate:
Boy kneels, lowering his face and belly to the tiles his arms stretched out before him, his fingers spread wide
'I knelt before the guest, putting the palms of my hands on the floor and my head to the tiles.'
Kajira of Gor p 305
Position 5
Bara:

Girl lays flat on the floor, her head turned to the left, her ankles crossed and her arms behind her back with wrists crossed, stronger hand over weaker.
' 'Bara, Kajira!' he said. She rolled quickly to her stomach, placing her wrists behind her, crossed, and crossing her ankles, ready to be bound.'
Explorers of Gor p 77 - also Mercenaries of Gor pg 145
Position 6
Bracelets:

Girl stands erect with feet together, placing her wrists crossed left over right at his mid-back, her head turned slightly to the left.
'Bracelets!' I said in Gorean harshly.
The girl snapped to position, hands behind the small of her back, head lifted, chin up, turned to the left
Tribesmen of Gor pg 81
Position 7
Display:

Girl rises standing erect with legs a shoulder length apart, her back straight her head high with eyes lowered, she raises her arms and bends at the elbows and entwines her fingers behind her neck for inspection.
(not seen as a proper command in books, but the position is used often in displaying slaves on auction)Players of Gor pg 137
Positions 8
Obeisance:
Girl goes to belly, at Master's feet, inch forward, remaining low on your belly, and when you reach his feet, kiss them. Now take his foot and place it gently on your head, now place it again on the floor, and kiss it again, you may now move back a little, humbly.
*It is pleasant to have a woman perform obeisance before one. It is also appropriate. In such a way, in such symbolisms, may the order of nature, and its profound truths, in a conventional and civilized manner, be expressed and acknowledged."*
Vagabonds of Gor, p.205
Positions 9
Crawl:
Boy goes down on all fours, his palms to elbows flat on the floor, buttocks in the air, forehead close but not touching the floor, he crawls to just an inch from the Mistress' feet.
I pointed to the stones at my feet. 'Crawl,' I said, in Gorean.
The girl slipped to her belly, and, as a slave girl, crawled to my feet. She put her lips to my foot ; I felt her hair over it.
Tribesmen of Gor pg 82
Positions 10
Leasha:

Girl remains standing or kneeling, depending upon her current position. She turns away from her Master, tilting up her chin and turns her head to the left as a leash is attached to her collar. Her wrists are extended behind her to be locked into slave bracelets or otherwise bound.
"Bracelets!" snapped Ho-Sorl suddenly, and Phyllis flung her wrists behind her back, threw back her head and turned it to on side, the instantaneous response of a trained girl...............He then said, "Leash," and she looked at him angrily, then lifted her her chin. He snapped the leash on her collar
Assassin of Gor pg 214/215
Positions 11
Blanket Position:
In this position the kajira must remain quiet when a covering is laid or thrown over her till such time as the Master who covered her deems to remove the covering
'I then threw the second blanket, the top blanket over her, covering her completely. When a blanket, or cloak, or covering of any sort, is thrown over a slave like this she may not speak or rise. She must remain as she is, silent, until the master, or some free man, lifts the covering away.'

Basics of Serve
1. Acknowledge -Thank them for their order, and your desire to serve it, you've offered to serve, and the Master said "bring me paga." it's *showtime*. the first pose is to get the Master's attention - to let Him know of the joy it brings you to serve Him. rise to your feet. smile.
example: kalli leans back on her heels and rises in a fluid movement, her silky auburn curls brushing over her pale, soft skin. she smoothes her silks over the curves of her hips and smiles, pale green eyes shimmer with the pleasure of this chance to serve so fine a Master.
now at least the Master knows what girl looks like, and that she is graceful enough at least to the extent that she isn't going to fall over when rising from nadu.
2. Go -back up three paces, turn and head to serving area
this step is somewhat unique, the serves that this one read through in researching for this class, by and large, did not include this step. backing up symbolizes respect for the Master, and is, this one thinks, an important gesture to every serve.
example: kalli steps back three paces in respect for her Master before turning to the servery. she moves gracefully across the tiles, the whispering of her silks and the tingling of slave bells about her slender ankles announce each step.
3. Container -choose the appropriate receptacle for the drink there are several different types of serving vessels. goblets, mugs, bowls, small cups for blackwine. take some time - the care you take in choosing a serving vessel for the Master shows that you want only the best for Him. examine it. make sure it has no flaws. the choosing of the vessel also allows you to get the Master's attention, again. reaching up on tiptoe - those silks are bound to slip up. bending over to a low shelf, nice chance to give Him a view of your cute bottom.
4. Wipe - wipe it clean, preferably with your hair. Now that you've selected the goblet (mug, cup, bowl) you wipe it clean, with your hair. this shows your devotion to your serve.
5. Fill -fill the container with the beverage. When you're filling the container, try to think about what it is that you're serving. blackwine? the heat from the kettle creates steam - moisture against your face? and the smell - the rich aroma of coffee -Ka-la-na - chilled - drop ice chips into the goblet - listen to the sounds, describe them - watch the liquid swirl into the goblet. the goal is to make Them want that drink, and anything else you want them to want.
6. Return -return to the Master/Mistress-think about the layout of the room. incorporate that into your descriptions. take a look at the servery, look at the hearth. small details show that you really do care about the environment you are in. make a few notes about the things that stand out in your own mind as you read through them. weave through the furs and tables. listen to the sounds in your mind.
7. Kneel - nadu, if Mistress, don't spread thighs too wide-this is an opportunity to present the Master with your beauty. whether or not you intend to offer yourself to the Master sexually, allow them to see in their minds your body, your submission. one thing. never, ever, mention slave heat in a serve unless you are fully prepared to use it. you may be as sexual, as sensual as you like, and are encouraged to be openly sexual, openly seductive, but that is an open invitation and should always be intended as such.
8. Present - bring the container to heart and then lips for kiss of submission(upon side of vessel)-bringing the container to your heart symbolizes your love of serving/the Master. in addition to kissing the side, this one generally will tilt the container and allow a drop to fall upon the tongue, ensuring the drink is not poisoned. raise the container over your bowed head and present it to Him/Her. you will also kiss the rim of any plate that you serve.
9. Speak -tell the Master/Mistress what you have brought and the pleasure it brought you to serve them.-announce that you have brought what they have requested, and your hopes that it and your service shall please them.
10.Wait-lower hands to thighs and wait for further need or dismissal.

Blackwine:

Described as a very expensive drink, even in Thentis, where it is grown on the mountain slopes. It is the same as coffee, and the original beans were probably imported from earth. Assassin of Gor, pages 106-107,
Tribesmen of Gor, page 89,
Slave Girl of Gor, page 73,
Beasts of Gor, page 20-21,
Guardsman of Gor, page 244
Hot brew much served in Cup or Mug on tray poured from the fires at the hearth. Can be served 1st or 2nd slave. 1st slave means with sugars and cream, 2nd slave means black. It is akin to Earth's coffee and very expensive.
Paga:
A heady, distilled grain alcohol..served warm in a footed bowl...has been described as a lumpy golden liquid...a strong fermented drink brewed from sa-tarna (pagar-sa-tarna or Pleasure of the Life- Daughter) grain, the favored drink of Gorean men. A cup in a paga tavern would cost a tarsk bit. One of the large serving bottles may be purchased for a silver tarsk. There seem to be no traditions surrounding it's service as demonstrated by the variety of vessels from which it is, stored, served and drunk..Outlaw of Gor, page 74
Raiders of Gor, pages 100, 102, 111 and 113,
Marauders of Gor, pages 22 and 23,

Vagabonds of Gor, page 16
Served from chilled botas from cold storage in Footed Bowl for Masters and Goblet for Free Women. Both vessel and paga are brought to the Free's feet and it is poured there.

Sample Serve:
Blackwyne Serve(this drink is like coffee)
The girl thanks the Master for allowing her to serve him. She then asks him if he would like his blackwyne 1st or 2nd slave(1st slave means with cream and sugar, 2nd slave means just black)
She takes 3 paces backward with her eyes lowers and walks to the servery
Her eyes scan the shelves for the proper mug for the Master, seeing one, she gently takes it down in her hands and eyes it for imperfections.
She polishes the mug clean with her hair
She runs the mug along her neck to be sure there are no nicks in the mugs rim.
She places it on the tray on the table. (if it is 1st slave she goes to the cold storage and gets a small pitcher of bosk cream then returns to the table, then places the bowls of sugars and the spoon on the tray)
She walks to the hearth carrying the tray and takes the kettle of blackwyne from the fires and pours it in the mug, then replaces the kettle to the hearth.
She then walks to Master's feet, kneels before him and places the tray to her left knee.
(She adds the cream and sugars if 1st slave and stirs with the spoon)
She then takes the mug to her chest then to her lips and places a kiss of submission to the side of the mug
She then asks in a soft voice if she may prove the blackwyne for Master
If he says yes, she takes the mug once more to her mouth and allows a few drops of blackwyne to drop into her mouth,
Then she places the mug to her slaveheart and waits for 3 strong beats of her heart, feeling it safe, she then
Raises the mug with her arms, placing her head between them in offering to the Master.
She thanks him again for allowing her to serve him his blackwyne.

"She carried a tray, on which were various spoons and sugars. She knelt, placing her tray upon the table. With a tiny spoon, its tip no more than a tenth of a hort in diameter, she placed four measures of white sugar, and six of yellow, in the cup; with two stirring spoons, one for the white sugar, another for the yellow, she stirred the beverage after each measure. She then held the cup to the side of her cheek, testing its temperature; Ibn Saran glanced at her; she, looking at him, timidly kissed the side of the cup and placed it before him. Then, head down, she withdrew."
page 89,Tribesmen of Gor
If you find a book reference on red sugars, I'd love to see it
"The two slaves, their chains removed, now returned, and began to serve the black wine. The voluptuous slave of Aemilianus, whom he had not yet named, placed the tiny silver cups, on small stands, before us. The lovely little slave in bluish gauze, whom I had not yet named, holding the narrow-spouted, silver pouring vessel in a heavy cloth, to protect her hands, poured the scalding, steaming black fluid, in narrow, tiny streams, into the small cups. She poured into the cups only the amount that would be compatible with the assorted sugars and creams which the guest might desire, if any, these being added in, and stirred, if, and as, pertinent, by Aemilianus' slave, who directed the serving." "'Second slave,' I told her, which, among the river towns, and in certain cities, particularly in the north, is a way of indicating that I would take the black wine without creams or sugars, and as it came from the pouring vessel, which, of course, in these areas, is handled by the "second slave," the first slave being the girl who puts down the cups, takes the orders and sees that the beverage is prepared according to the preferences of the one who is being served." "Black wine, except in the vicinity of Thentis, where most of it is grown on the slopes of the Thentis range, is quite expensive." "The expression "second slave," incidentally, serves to indicate that one does not wish creams or sugars with one's black wine, even if only one girl is serving."
