Sabbats
Wiccan holidays are not a whole lot different that Christian holidays. Witches see the year as an ever turning wheel and they celebrate its cycles. like waning and waxing of the moon, the changeing of the seasons, Porgression through the houses of the Zodiac, and the agricultural year. The 8 wiccan holidays mark the 8 stages of a year. Since I'm a Celtic Wiccan I fallow the same Sabbats but I have different names for some and some different dates but thats also is do to the fact of were I live.
February 2 is "Imbolc or Candlemas", May 1 "Beltane", Augest 1 "Lugnasadh", and October 31 "Samhain but pronounced {Sow-en}".
They also celebrate the lesser sabbats Spring equinox "Ostras", Summer solstice "Litha", Autumn equinox "Mabon", and winter solstice "Yule". Those holidays are marked on the calender ether called Ostra, litha, Mabon, and Yule or by the Solsticeses.
If you live in a larger community some witches or covens get together and celebrate them as big festivals.
