nce, there was life.
Once, this was a forest. Green growing home of Elves and wolves, bonded together, tribe and pack, kin in body and spirit.
Once, there was a great war, Elf and human in a struggle to the death. Only a scarce few gave up on fighting a hopeless battle, and went into an enchanted sleep, hoping for a better future.
Now, there are buildings, towers, streets. Humans everywhere.
The forest became a reservation, and a park.
In its heart the Father Tree still stands, and the humans call it Spirit Corner, and do not go near it, for fear of the Hidden Ones.
The secret folk, the little people, legends.
