The Suphannahongse Royal Barge The existing Suphannahongse Royal Barge was remade in the reign of King Vajiravudh, Rama VI, built by a naval architect, Korn Hongsakula. The barge has the figure of a golden swan carved and decorated on the bow. It is entirely gilded and decorated with mirror. The bottom of the barge is painted black on the outside, and red on the inside. It measures 44.90 M. in length, 3.17 M. in width, 0.90 M. in depth, with a draft of 0.91 M. and a 3.50 M. power, manned by 50 rowers and 2 steersmen, with 1 flag-bearer, 1 signalman, and 1 boat-rowing song singer. The Anantanakharaj Royal Barge The Royal barge was built in the Forth Reign, and remade in the reign of King Vajiravudh, Rama VI, It is carved, gilded and decorated with mirror, patterned as a seven-headed serpent, surrounded by numerous small serpents. The hull is painted green on the outside and red on the inside. The barge measures 42.95 M. in length, 2.95 M. in width, 0.76 M. in depth, with a draft of 0.31 M. and a 3.02 M. power, manned by 54 rowers and 2 steersmen, with 2 helmsmen, 1 flag-bearer, 1 signalman, and 1 boat-rowing song singer. The Anekchartphuchong Royal Barge The existing barge was built in the reign of King Chulalongkorn, Rama V, of the Bangkok Period. It is carved and gilded in the pattern of smell serpents. The hull is painted pink on the outside, and red on the inside. It is categorized as an informal royal barge. It measures 45.50 M. in length, 3.15 M. in width, 1.11 M. in depth, with a draft of 0.46 M., and a 3.50 M. power, manned by 61 rowers and 2 steersmen, with 2 helmsmen, 1 flag-bearer, 1 signalman and 1 boat-rowing song singer.[ The Krut Hern Het & Krut Tret Trai Chak Barges The 2 barges have the Garuda and Naga at the bows, as ceremonial barges, painted lacquered and gilded. They were built in the first Reign of the Bangkok Period. The barges measure about 27 M. in length, 1.90 M. in width, manned by 34 rows. The Krabi Ran Ron Rap and Krabi Prab Traichak Royal Barges The barges are carved, gilded and decorated with mirror in the form of a Great Ape, the Black and the White Monkey. The exterior of the hull is lacquered and gilded in stylized floral patterns. They were built in the First Reign of the Bangkok Period. The barges each weighs 5.62 tonnes, measuring 28.80 M. in length, 2.10 M. in width, 0.56 M. in depth, manned by 36 rowers. Asura Vayuphak-Asu-ra Paksi Barges The 2 barges with the figureheads of the Demon Kings. are gilded ceremonial barges, built in the First Reign of the Bangkok Period. The Asura Vayuphak's face, hands and feet are indigo in colour, wearing purple. While the Asura Paksi has green hands and feet, wearing purple and green. The barges measure about 30 M. in length, 2.00 M. in width, and manned by 40 rowers. Pali Rang Thaweep-Sukreep Krong Muang The 2 barges are adorned with the figures of the King of Apes, with green and red bodies, Pali and Sukreep, in Ramayana. They are gilded ceremonials barges, built in the First Reign of the Bangkok Period, measuring 27.45 M. in length, 1.95 M. in width, manned by 34 rowers. The Ekachai Hern Hao and Ekachai Lao Thong Barges The 2 barges, Ekachai Hern Hao and Ekachai Lao Thong, are meant to tow the Suphannahongse Royal Barge, when there is a shortage of manpower. They are ceremonial barges, lacquered and gilded, patterned as crocodiles. They were built in the First Reign of the Bangkok Period, measuring 27.50 M. in length, 1.99 M. in width, manned by 38 rowers. The Sua Thayan Chon - Sua Khamron Sin Barges The 2 barges were built in the First Reign of the Bangkok Period. meant as destroyers. They are painted yellow, with tiger stripses. The interior is painted red. They measure 22.27 M. in length, 1.74 M. in width, 0.57 M. in depth and a 2.45 M. in power, manned by 26 rowers and 1 steerer, with 2 helmsmen, 1 signalman, and 1 cannon. The barges are plain dug-boats, wholly gilded known as Khamot Ya Barges, reserved for the Supreme Patriarch. Rua Dang is sleek, with pointed head and tail. It is dug-boat, simply oiled.
