Six Flags Worlds of Adventure
Aurora, Ohio

I went to Six Flags Worlds of Adventure on Wednesday this week to get another park under my senior project belt. It was a beautiful day for being at a park, warm and mostly sunny. (ratings range from -5 to +5, 0 being neutral)

The Park: +4.5
This is the best I have seen the park in the past couple of years, much cleaner than last year, and the addition of former Sea World Ohio staff has certainly made the whole atmosphere happier.

My friend and I spent most of our time during the all day stay at the park, running from the Wild Rides to the Wildlife side and back. I must say the boardwalk is a nice addition; you get an awesome view of the thrill side of the park. In my sorry attempt to get interviews I was sent over to the sea life side (thus all the walking). I managed to meet Monica, a guest relations attendant in the Wildlife side. She was great in trying to get us the hook up. She eventually got us into a press release.

Wildife Side: +4
Not exactly the same without Shamu and Namu, however, just as beautiful as always.

Wild Ride Side: +4.5
Better landscaping and theming bits and pieces help out immensely. Plus, the notice of less trash helps.

Batman: Knight Flight: +5
The ride was running the best Ive ever seen today. It seemed to ride faster and faster all day long. Besides this ride being my favorite (and its not because of the floorless gimmick - it doesnt do anything), it just has awesome elements and use of them. Smooth as silk still.

Raging Wolf Bobs: +3.5
This ride surprised me. After my rides last year and a feeling of busted ribs afterwards, I didnt have high expectations this year. But wham, the surprise - it was actually somewhat smooth! I didnt get tossed around nearly as much as I should have, especially for this ride.

Superman: Ultimate Escape: +4
Still an awesome ride. I decided to catch the back due to lack of time and having not ever ridden it in the back. (Im a back seat kind of guy). This ride completely caught me off guard on the way up the straight spike. Fun, fun, fun.

The Villain: +4

This ride is just plain fun, one of the smoothest woodies Ive ever ridden and fast. The airtime on it is still awesome. Go Villain!

Serial Thriller: Not rated
Double Loop: Not rated
Roadrunner Express: Not rated
Big Dipper: Not rated
Mind Eraser: Not rated
(Due to the lack of ride time because of my senior project, I didnt get to enjoy all the coasters, even the classic)

X-Flight: +4.5
Now my second favorite in the park, though it just cant touch B:KF for me. Granted, the whole flying thing is cool and unique, it was just a fun coaster. It actually had some rough spots on it, but it wasvery intense. They were running both sides, which sped things up. All in all, its still awesome ride.

Due to the senior project I was completing, I just couldnt enjoy myself as much as possible. So, I am heading back to the park on the 27th. Hopefully then I should be able to ride coasters all day long. Oh happy day!

-Lucas (who loves B:KF)
