Park Review
Six Flags Marine World
Vallejo, California

I thought this was a really good trip; for once getting there was bearable.

Overall: +1.0
Not nearly enough coasters, and barely any flat rides. Clean, but horribly maintained at the same time. It got the one because of the short lines.

Medusa: +4.0
Very smooth B&M floorless. It got a four because the only airtime was on the first drop. The inversions were good except for the half corkscrews in the middle of the sea serpent; they seemed (dare I say) misshapen and that took away from the smooth-as-silk B&M feel.

Kong (Dong): +0.5
On top of having a heck of a time getting on it (lots of mechanical problems), this ride was rough and slow; thus, Vekoma SLC. I took two rides on it, one in the middle to avoid serious injury, and one in the back to see if there was any whipping effect or airtime. This ride looks cool but is a major disappointment.

Roar: +3.5
Wow - first woodie I've been on that maintains decent speed throughout the (incredible) layout. Great airtime, not too rough to be painful, noticeable Gs throughout the ride.

Boomerang: -1.5
Another horrible Vekoma - my first boomerang and I hated it. Very painful, not very intense, high Gs coming through the inversions (high to the point of being annoying).

V2 Vertical Velocity
Superman: Ultimate Escape clone, and it's actually coming along nicely. I was lucky enough to see them attach half of the launch and part of one of the slopes to the supports.
