Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom
Louisville, Kentucky

Yesterday a group of friends who I work with and I went to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. I had a great time; this is the first time I have ever been to this park. It wasn't what I expected, but it wasn't as bad as I was told it was, either. They really have some awesome rides and lots of flat rides. On to the rides. We first started out on:

Road Runner Express - This was my first wild mouse coaster, and I enjoyed it. I loved the pop of air you got on the drops. A great ride; we rode this a lot, as the line was short all day.

Our next ride was Breakdance. Oh, what a quality flat ride. This was the first of this kind of ride I have ever ridden, but it was great. I was laughing so hard on the ride that I was crying. I can't remember what we did next, but I will continue with the coasters.

Chang - Chang was great, a great B&M standup. A lot like Mantis at CP, but taller and faster, and with an extra corkscrew. But this ride blew me away. I enjoyed it so we rode it twice. Great ride.

T2 - T2 was the first SLC I have ever ridden, and I know it was the first SLC to be built. I don't even remember the ride all that much, besides all the head banging. We like to call this one "The Hanging Bang," but I have heard that not all SLC's are as bad at T2. We could only stand "The Hanging Bang" for one ride. At least I can say I have ridden an SLC now, and added it to my coaster count.

Thunder Run - A great wooden coaster with lots of airtime. I really enjoyed this ride. It's a mirror copy of Hurler at Paramount's Kings Dominion and Paramount's Carowinds, but this was a great ride; I really enjoyed myself. We rode this a few more times throughout the day.

Twisted Sisters - A great coaster, and they were running both sides today. I don't remember which side is which, but I enjoyed the pink train side over the blue side. The pink side had lots of air and good G's. We rode the pink side over and over throughout the day. We only rode blue side once.

We also rode the Thrill Park Theater, which I wasn't too impressed with. I guess I'm spoiled by the 7th Portal at Paramount's Kings Island. I just didn't like "meteor attack" at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom; I didn't enjoy this ride at all and we only rode once. Other rides we rode where the Enterprise the Giant Wheel. I did have a nice time at the park. It wasn't really that busy, so we rode all coasters very quickly and had times for re-rides on the coasters we wanted to re-ride, and had time to take in some flat rides. We didn't get to ride Hellevator; the first time we got in line it broke down and then the second time they had to close down for weather. I guess my only complaint was only one train on all coasters and the price for food was high, so we left the park and ate. But I enjoyed my first visit to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom.
