Paramount's Great America
Santa Clara, California

I thought this was a really good trip, for once getting there was bearable.
Overall: +3.5
Clean, decent smelling, beautiful park. Friendly and competent staff (except
for the mechanics on Stealth). Long lines, but that's understandable for a
park this size.
Stealth: +4.0
Incredible experience, very innovative, great ride. My first ride in the
park, I got on and buckled my harness not knowing what to expect. The ride
ops pushed down our lower restrains (don't know how to classify those) and
the ride laid us down. This was the first time a ride frightened me since
Millennium Force. Once over the top and after the odd descent into the twist,
it gave a great sensation of flying. The only reason it didn't get a five was
that it was a little rough. Thanks Vekoma!
Top Gun: +5.0
Great theming, good audio, and a surprisingly fast, intense B&M inverted.
It maintained great speed throughout the whole layout, including a great
helix just over the water. I couldn't find anything wrong with this one!
Invertigo: +4.5
Slightly newer Vekoma invertigo, this one wasn't close to as rough as the older
Vekomas. My ride was near front and it was a good ride. I took off
a half point for the high Gs through the inversions.
Demon: -5.0
Arrow trash. I'm not even gonna get into this one.
Grizzly: -5.0
Slow woodie with little to no airtime. Should've skipped this one.
Greazed Lightnin': +1.5
Counterweight launched ride I think by Intamin. (Editors note: This is actually a Schwarzkopf creation) Decent launch, but too short and simple. Plus the smell of burnt rubber after the brake run.
Psycho Mouse: +3.5
Smooth, standard wild mouse. Nice laterals and negatives. Too short a ride
and too long a line though.
