I'll be rating on the scale of -3 to +5.
Belmont Park: +1.5
I didn't rate this park especially high since they
only have a small woodie and not a very good variety of other rides.
We went on a Tuesday, and I brought along a friend who's afraid of most coasters, but likes them after riding them (like how
I was). My dad and I had about 11 tickets left over from last summer, so after we found a parking spot, we headed over to the ticket booth so my friend and my dad could buy some more tickets for themselves. While waiting, I noticed that I was correct last time that I visited Belmont; they are in fact building a frog hopper next to the ticket
booth. Fun, fun, fun. Anyway, after we got our tickets, we all got in line for the Giant Dipper and headed as far back as possible to the second to the last car (it think).
Giant Dipper: +2
I gave this coaster a two because it has some good airtime
and a few lats, but can be a bit rough and the trains aren't too
good (although they are kept up pretty well). I just don't care for those Morgan
trains. Also, the ride's a little short. My friend and I rode it about eight
times. My dad didn't ride very much, so he gave us his tickets. The
best spot, IMO, is the definitely the last seats of the train, probably the
left side. After two or three rides, my friend said he wanted to ride the
tilt-a-whirl, so we wasted our tickets and time on that. It was a little fun for a few times. Then my friend and I ride the Giant Dipper
some more, usually waiting for the back. I think my friend liked it by that time. We never did get to go to the museum/gift shop because we left about six.
