On August 10th, 2002, Pat & Sam moved from the Encore RV Resort at Vero Beach to Dayton North Super Park at Ormond Beach just north of Daytona.

The Flagler Beach Restaurant

Located on the beach road, this was a favorite restaurant for breakfast, where you could watch the fishermen on the pier, the surfers or the dolphins frolicking in the surf.

It was here that Pat & Sam saw one of the dolphins jump so high he cleared the water completely.
St. Augustine
Left
A tour of St. Augustine via the Old Town Trolley, in order to familiarize themselves with the area, brought them to the Old Jail, the first stop on the tour.

Fact: Flager felt that the jailhouse was an eyesore for the tourists he was attempting to attract to the area so he had this jail built in a Queen Anne style stucco on brick to look like a house and presented it to the city.

Completed in 1891, the Old Jail housed prisoners, both male and female, for over 60 years. It is one of the very few surviving 19th century incarceration facilities in the state.

Forty-Two years ago Pat toured the Catillo De San Marcos on her Union Grove High School Senior Trip.

Who says you can't go back?

What a shame that so many schools have discontinued the Senior Trip tradition for their graduates. That was a great reward for 12 years of hard work and achievement.
