Diapers

Diapers are a big expense. Babies use on average about 8 diapers a day. Toddlers, around the age of 1-3 years old use about 4 diapers a day. It might not seem like anything put multiply that by 30 days a month and a baby uses on average 240 diapers a month, that is a lot. Not only that but each bag, which contains 24 diapers, is about 13 dollars. Therefore, you would be spending about 312 dollars a month for diapers. Among all of the money you need to pay for diapers you also need to make sure that the baby is not wet. You constantly need to be doing that so that they do not get a rash, and changing them is not all that sweet. Diaper responsibilities are many.

Feeding

Breast feeding babies is a task. Babies need to be breast feed about every 2 hours. Once they are a little bit older they eat about every 4 hours. When they are able to eat solid foods they eat a least 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. The responsibilities of feeding are that you need to make sure that the children have had a meal, that they are eathing healthy foods, and that they don't eat too much. In order to do this you must keep an eye on them all the time and make sure that they eat.

Sleeping

Making sure that babies and toddlers get enough sleep is a big responsibility. If they do not get their daily naps then they are eithr grumpy or are too sleepy to fall asleep. Babies sleep on average 16-18 hours a day. When they are about 1 year-old they take 2 naps a day, in total about 12 hours a day. When they are older they take only 1 nap a day, but still sleep about 12 hours a day. Children really need their naps, if they do not get enough sleep they really do not function right. As a parent, you need to make sure that they do get enough sleep.

Financially

As a parent you need to make sure that the child is taken care of financially. You have a responsibility as a parent to make sure that they have everything and that you provide for other things as well. Other things that you might need to provide for them are health insurance, bonds, and money for school. This is also one of the biggest responsibilities, so before becoming a parent you need to make sure that you can provide with food, clothes, and other such things for them. An estament on how much a child might cost a month is about 602 dollars, that includes pampers, formula, clothes, and other basic stuff. However, that does not include the cribe, stoller, car seat, and other such things.

Emotionally

As a parent you need to be there for your child even if you do not feel up to it. You need to satisfy their needs, make sure that they are confident of themselves, make sure they feel loved, and more. Not only that but you also need to feel confident in yourself. If you do not feel confident in yourself, then you will not be able to handle another person and their needs. This means being around that person 24 hours a day and 7 day a week, which is a lot to handle. So, before you have a baby you need to make sure you are up to that.
