ADVERTISE !| Advertise in your local newspaper.Some papers offer free "FOUND" ads. |
PUT UP POSTERS !| Do it everywhere - the grocery store, convenience mart, post office, schools, church, veterinary office, etc. Add the color laser-photocopy of your best photo. |
MAKE OUT REPORTS !| Do it at any animal shelters or animal collection agencies. Be sure to leave a phone number or back-up number, if you're away a lot. Again, attach a color photocopy. |
HOLD BACK SOME INFORMATION !| If a caller claims to have found Whiskers, make him describe the cat to you, especially unique features. And ask the caller to read your cat's ID tag to you. |
DO NOT GIVE UP !!!| Continue checking the FOUND ads and keep in contact with the animal shelters. If nothing else, this will give you peace of mind, that you tried ! GOOD LUCK !!! |
