While reading poetry, perhaps music will help.

There Is Something Magical About Poetry. Seems To Hit At The Heart Of Things.

Time for a a pause in our trip and some meditation.

On my gravestone I would be very happy to have: "Here lies a remarkable poet and quester."

Then the question becomes: "Can an old salt be a poet?"

MIND IS ALL

Gentleness and thought preclude enlightenment.
How to attain such heights of thought?
Oh question of questions must be directed
Toward center and channeled by Source.
Prepare consciousness for pressure depths.

Self masquerades as knowing the life game
While mind floods the senses with mirages,
For self resides as positive and "know-it-all"
Nestled in the nervous masked divinity
Of soul-bearing human-ness
(not all sham & pretense). N'est-ce pas?

Man's game? To trap and snare the willing,
Becoming sometimes cruel and depraved in the doing.
The nature of man becomes a seducer of mind,
But does this illusion have to be?

1980 -George Beimers

THE CREATOR OF MY OWN BEING

I am the magic of creation
---Imbued with fantasy and imagination,
With possibilities unlimited.

Don't give me your words of hopeless despair:
Pollution, ozone holes, global warming, etc.
My purposes are beyond these manmade pitfalls.

I am the energy that moves the universe,
---The eyes and ears of the Creator;
Feeling, tasting, and smelling victories as well as
---Defeats of an earth side encounter.

I create my universe while the universe is creating me,
---And since I am the sculptor of my reality,
Let the message carried to my Center be joy and happiness.

Great happiness comes from little moments of man-made miracles
---Brought into being along life's path.
We empower ourselves by opening our eyes and claiming our products.

So what should our life designs and patterns be?
---Experience happiness, contemplation, wisdom, and joy.
We are pregnant with ideas, giving birth to events,

Our true purpose? Pushing ideas into being changing. and expanding!
If I were the Creator, could I not do better for myself,
---And I am most certainly the creator of my own being..

Sailors can get lonely too. I found someone ten years ago who would put up with "going down to the sea on ships" and we sailed the Pacific Ocean from 1987 until a short time ago (1993) when we brought our boat over to the Gulf Of Mexico. Sure glad I found this gal that knows how to do fish in a Chinese way that I still can't resist! She also writes an interesting book. You are invited to order a copy from us.

Married to an author is my idea of paradise as long as I have my 40' cutter and some calm water to explore. Click on picture for enlargement.

---Below is shown the cover of a book that has not lead a very charmed life. It came out in print last year and then the distributor went bankrupt and it's fate was sealed. It went from the shelves of Waldenbooks to but several hundred copies on the auction block. Since this makes it a very limited edition, it should be among the more expensive books available, but for a limited time it can be purchased from the authors for $9.95 including shipping. (add $1.25 more for Canada) Place your order with: G. & G. Beimers, P.O. Box 2667, Port Aransas, TX 78373. ---This young adult fiction was co-authored by Gertrude Hii Beimers, a Chinese from E. Malaysia who collected classical Chinese stories told by her mother and used them throughout a central story about a young Chinese girl with a unique problem. Mee-ing is her name. Mee-ing finds herself a daughter in a family that values sons, a girl in a culture that values boys, and young in a village that respects the old. Sentenced to the role of servant and caretaker, her imagination takes wings when she listens to her mother's stories.

---By day her widowed mother struggles against their poverty and the little family of three manage to survive in their jungle village. The mother, the real dragon in the story, fills the children's minds with stories of ghosts, lost children, unhappy brides, and brave maidens. Then Mee-ing finds that she is to be sold as a "child-bride" to the village's butcher who has raised a rascal of a son and needs to provide him with a future wife. How will Mee-ing solve her problem? There is a way... -George & Gertrude Beimers 1996

YOU
I am mind.
I am perfect.
I am magnificent.
I am truly and entirely my own idea.
At times the context I originate for myself
Overwhelms me with social highs and solitary lows.
Thank you mind!
Such power moves me only forward to greater expansion.
What a beautiful fate. Always to be a winner!
My reason for existence?
Might be to teach you and myself,
Might be to fulfill a dream begun in another lifetime.
Might be to become more of what is.
Might be to become more magical.
Might be only to become.
Might be just to be.
Might be to
Create something from the great nothing;
For I am the creator of this reality;
Part of the greater puzzle that includes you. I am that part of you which is truly
Sacred and precious..

The word is out that something new and amazing is taking place among our children, especially those born in the last two decades. Ruth Montgomery use to write about "walk-ins", those who reincarnate as old souls in new bodies. Some even believe these "new kids" are actually old souls from the time of Atlantis. That really got my attention. Many, such as Jan Tabor and Lee Carroll, have written about "The New Kids Have Arrived" and I believe they have documented this as well as could be. Thus I had to write about such an event. So below is my latest poem and I hope you enjoy it.

WHAT IS THE MESSAGE OF THE INDIGO CHILD?

We have a new phenomena arriving among us, some say,
And that since the early 80s it has taken place.
Is this how challenges of the 21st Century will play,
As a step in the evolution of the human race?

Yes, the Indigo Child is among us; just steal a glance,
And you will be surprised.
These special children will gift us with an advance
So precious its value may only be surmised.

Welcome to a new and different wonder child
Within our crowded and skeptical midst,
Illustrating psychological attributes rather mild,
Their loving behavior is hard to resist.

A subtle indigo aura surrounds their dignified space
In a very unusual way,
As though announcing a change in the world's pace,
The coming of a bright new day.

One may guess their identity, telling them apart,
Quite easily from regular children at play.
Abundant self-esteem, non-conforming, super active, is a start,
Spiritual intelligence without any guilt trips give them away.

We wonder what is real, as the "Gathering" arrives.
This New Era youth born into our reality,
Illustrates that seeds of our greatness survives
Even now within our own mortality.

Yes, old souls born into new bodies are now among us,
Meet them with warm cheers and flags unfurled.
Welcoming them with no little fuss,
These "right-brained" children in our "left-brain" world.
