Background:
Prisma is the sister of Talon, born in Altreas 6 years before he was. After Talon's and her mother died, she took it upon herself to raise him and console her grieving father, taking her place as best she could. She was a charming child, whose charisma could clearly be seen.
At the age of 10, she gained a new little brother to take care of, a task that she willingly accepted, even with the burden of her magical studies and watching out for her little brother Talon. She raised her little brothers well and they loved her as both a mother and a sister.
When she was 19, disaster struck the Darklighter's home land of Altreas... she was away on diplomatic duties when their home was razed. She came home to find her home destroyed and her loved ones slain. Like Talon, she flew into a rage and joined him on his vengence quest, but went a seperate direction from him. In the confusion, they lost track of each other and didn't meet again for many many long years.
150 long years passed and the three siblings met with one another... They had a joyful reunion and when Talon told her of his love, Phoenix, she felt her heart fill with pride for her little brother, glad that he had found someone that he truly loved and cared for. But her own heart ached for she had not come across one such as he had. She felt the loneliness that no amount of family could cure, and she told Gryphon of this. He held her in his arms and softly spoke to her. They set off together to find the loves of their lives.
Time passed and the siblings met up yet again and this time, Talon had bad news... Phoenix had been murdered and Talon was alone once again. No matter how much she consoled him, Prisma could not bring him out of his depression and sorrow. It was here that she taught him and Gryphon the secrets of the Soulbond. During their travels together, Gryphon and Prisma had bonded in such a manner and she proceeded to bond with her other brother, linking the three. Once again, they parted ways, to meet again in 15 years.
They met again and Prisma was now 268, Talon 262, and Gryphon 258. By this time, Talon had begun coming out of his depression caused by the loss of Phoenix Alcedes, and Prisma and Gryphon still hadn't found mates of their own. They decided to stick together from that point on, and support one another instead of roaming like solitary vagabonds across the earth. It was during these travels together that Talon met and befriended, and then adopted Derek into his family. Prisma smiled upon Derek and felt a part of her long towards this mysterious young elf. In the following weeks, they came to be close and then one night, she asked him to take her. He gently took her and nearly painlessly seperated her virginity from her. They made sweet love all night long and Derek finally pledged his love to her. She admitted her love for him and then he gave her a ring of brilliant gold with a jade gemstone set in the middle that glowed softly in the presence of true love and lovers. She graciously accepted his ring and then they parted each other's arms, never again speaking of what happened that night.
The two of them continued to be lovers all the way until Gryphon learned of the Daemonic invasion of Avalon. He suddenly was filled with purpose and made preparations to leave. Talon tried to stop him, but Gryphon had always been a naturally better fighter and quickly knocked his elder brother unconscious and left. When Prisma and Derek returned to where the 4 were living and found Talon lying unmoving on the floor, she feared the worst. She used her magic and quickly revived her brother. He told her what Gryphon was planning and she begged Talon to follow him and find him. Talon agreed to her wishes and set off in pursuit of their wayward little brother. Derek tried to console her and relax her, but to no avail, for she knew that if something happened to Gryphon, not only would she never be able to forgive herself, but that she might also die as well.
She told Derek to leave, to fetch her some things, but no sooner had he stepped out the door than he heard her scream and fall. The sound haunted him for many years to come, for it was more a dying scream than anything else... he came in and feared her dead and yet, she lived... barely. He knew he had to find Talon and quickly or else she would die, but she couldn't be left unattended. He focused and tried to reach Talon in many ways, but all failed, except for one. The soulbond that Talon had established with Derek. Derek managed to get ahold of Talon and discovered the cause of Prisma's demise... Gryphon had died, but only after slaying the Daemon King on the Isle of Avalon. Talon buried Gryphon upon the sacred Isle, his spirit to forever guard the Isle from further attacks and then quickly returned home to tend to his sister.
He stayed at her side, holding her hand for nearly 5 days straight until she finally stabilized well enough that she would not die if he left. He turned to Derek and requested that he stay at her side and watch over her until she awoke, and to be there to attend to her when she finally awoke.
19 long years passed and then she awoke, her mind finally able to overcome the loss of the one most dear to her. Her mind cried out to Talon and he heard her plea for him that night. He was visiting that night with the DarkMistress Ramsay at her castle when she called. He gently bade her farewell, and left under the pretense of having to clear his head, his mind and heart filled with mixed feelings. He feared his wife's unfaith, but that was pushed aside with the concern for his elder sister. He arrived at her side quickly and she leapt weakly into his arms and wept for most of the night. He held her and soothed her troubled heart, mind, and spirit. It was here that they finally bonded with one another, for she knew that he would survive, no matter the cost, no matter the odds. And she didn't want to be alone anymore. Derek had disappeared in the last few months before her awakening, a note begging her forgiveness and Talon's as well, vaguely explaining that there was something that he had to do that he couldn't ignore any longer. Talon felt for him through the bond and could feel only that he was alive somehow, but could not determine where he was or what condition he was in. Prisma nodded at his report and spoke softly that she still cared for him, that she wouldn't be so shallow as to hold it against him, for he had stayed beside her for 19 years without complaint. She clung to Talon tightly though, and he knew that she feared he too would leave her. Eventually, she came to realize that he wasn't going to disappear from her completely and she began to stand upon her own two feet once again, albeit shakily. And now, 19 years from her tragic loss, Prisma seeks to start over and somehow build a new life in this pile of ashes around her.
Powers: Prisma is an Adept Magic-User. Her powers dwarf even Talon's. She can shadowmeld, just as he, but her abilites allow her to meld with any element, far more than that of Talon's ability to do such. She is able to shift into a dragonness with the same immunities and powers as her brother and his dragon form. However, her's is smaller and less powerful than his, though she has been known to best him from time to time in dragonfights. Her most notable trait, however, is her charisma. She was raised to be very empathetic and caring.
Weapons: Never one for physical combat, she has some abilities with a sword, is proficient with a staff, and can use a bow with startling accuracy. She also has her magic and other powers at her disposal. In spite of her ability to, she does not like to fight and very rarely ever will.
Immunities: She has the same immunities as Talon, except psionics and magic.
Weaknesses: She is stricken with some form of magical disease, one that functions as such. It first strips its victim of their magic and powers, and then their senses, and then finally their life. It is unknown how this disease is caught, but it is verified to not be contagious through any means of contact whatsoever.
Special Notes: She is slightly disoriented from her long coma and will sometimes mutter things that don't make sense. Also, she was affected by Gryphon's loss so badly that she will suddenly begin to cry without reason. She is still pretty shy, still trying to readjust to the world of 19 years later. She stays in the White Dragon mostly, though she has been known to travel through the magical tapestry to visit Mistress Nissandra and her family every once in a while, though never for very long without invitation.
Her dearest and closest friend since her awakening has become Nissandra Xternal. She always enjoys her company and has grown quite attached to her friend. She cares for her Mistress very much and would do much for her. Nissandra makes her happy and always manages to bring a smile to her face, even if no one else can.
