Background:
Merloch, once created in the land known as Kelnor, was a Cretavi. Scientificly and Magiclly engineered to create a Superior Magical Being. One whom could learn and master all forms of magic and become adept at most anything. His creators abandoned him after showing remorse. Afterall, the 10 creatures which formed his body, once had lives of their own.
Living in Kelnor and looking similar to an elf, he became a well-known Mage, eventually coming to class on the Council of Grey. Kelnor being a realm of Mystic Time Travellers, he was assigned The Fantasy Realm, to watch. So, stepping through the portal, he appeared and watched.
For good over 8 months, he watched and was quiet, until he broke the one rule. He got personal. At that point in time, Kelnor immediately shunned him, but kept him on the council, for he was a powerful mage and one to be wary of.
As time passed, Merloch eventually fell in love. This was the highest extent of breaking the rule. His time travel powers were stripped, yet he cared not. For once in his life, he felt love. Falling for the Youko, Parn Tzeenth, Merloch quickly became fascinated. Even joining The Atma Knights, to become closer to his beloved. Although as a test to join the atmas, Merloch was forced to fight the leader. Now, normally non-violent, he agreed after watching her for a while. Mielikki Inverse struck out with a fury, lashing at Merloch madly, as Merloch looked calm, and collected. Within a few seconds, he spun and slammed his fist into the wall of Albian, Mielikki's Castle. Mielikki shrieked, as her arm became wounded, the blood trickling down her white skin. Glancing at his oponent, he spun again, this time his foot flew towards the wall, shatternig it. Another ear-pericing scream resonated from the Youko, as her leg became wounded. Having the upper hand, Merloch proceeded to destroy every part of the castle. Pausing, as a bloodied Mielikki stood upon the throne. Merloch protested and told her to give up, as she refused, he raised the throne magically and prepared to drop it. Having the throne being the heart of the castle,. Merloch could kill Mielikki if he dropped it. She stood on it, in the air. She was either very determined to die, or calling a non-existed bluff. After persuasion by his beloved Parn, He put the throne down, but grabbed Mielikki and threw her violently to the ground, forcing her to give. As she gave, he became the Atma Knight of Wisdom.
Time passed, and Merloch had adventutre after adventure. Once gaining the title "Mage of the Blue Flame", or "Highest Mage in Fantasy", until the time, aboard a technological ship,c alled the USS Resistance. He made a foolish move, and tried magic, being killed instantly.
Well, Dominic, ArchAngel of Judgement, set out to judge his soul, and as Asmodeus and Dominic got Merloch's LifeBook from Nickolas Ravenwing, whom got it from Ashura Tzeenth, Asmodeus nearly creamed his devlish pants at the evils in Merloch's Life. While Dominic leaped for joy with all the goods that Merloch had done. However, when finished reading, they both frowned. For Merloch's Life, had been so balanced, that each good cancelled each evil, and Neither Diabolic or Divine, could take his soul. So, Merloch's Soul was released to The Spirit Queen, and wiped of all memories. His body made anew, and granted small powers. Each side, giving a small bit, in hopes that the next time Merloch dies, he would be for their side.
Diabolics, granted Merloch the ability of HellFire. Divines, granted Merloch the Ability of Holyfire. The Spirit Queen, then granted Merloch, SpiritFire, SoulSheild, Teleportation, and Lifesight. She adornedhim with The Amulet of the Soul Queen, and he was set out to Fantasy. Finally reaching there and having no knowledge of his past, he assumed everyone who spoke of a "past life" was insane. He quickly became proficient at cooking, and using the Quarter Staff as a weapon.
Being employed by Lindell as a chef, he smiled with satisfaction. His life was calm, he did not understand violence, yet could easily defend himself. One day, Georgia Robinson came, and Merloch was re-introduced into the Federation. Becoming friends with a few, he helped as he could. They smiled, enjoying the help, though he was limited, due to regulations.
Then came the day, that Merloch got fed up with his life and said "Fuck it". He asked the Admiral of the Federation, to allow him to join and she readily accepted. Going through mission, after mission, after journey, Merloch enjoyed his life again. Then one day, while Merloch was on the Surface in the Fantasy Realms, Talon offered him a proposal. To once again have a family, Talon was offering to adopt Merloch. Smiling, Merloch accepted, and became Merloch Darklighter, and adorned a signet ring.
Merloch through his travels, has become adept at using a Quarter Staff, a LightSabre, his agility for martial arts, He's used a Z-Staff, a repeater, daggers and a javelin. He's even used a sword before, though he finds them too bulky. His favourite current weapon, is one given by at the time, friend, now brother, Talon Darklighter. Which is the Z-Staff. Much like a LightSabre, this weapon is an entire staff of a laser energy.
In battle, Merloch has one secret. If his adrenaline pumps too much 2 large, black feathered wings, will rip from his back, giving him the ability to fly and manuver easier. He is also a trained Psionist, and currenlty re-learning magic. Due to the Amulet of the Soul Queen he wears, no one can directly change something in his mind, or soul. IE. No one can directly implant a memory, that wasn't there.
Weapons:
Due to all his travels, Merloch has encountered many different kinds of weapons, and being an officer of the federation, he has access to many of them.
Standard Issue Repeater, is almost always at Merloch's side. This is a weapon much like a hand-cannon, only it's trigger based and has a wrist-lock. Many different kinds of shells for this thing. Most are like a common bullet, only bigger.
A lightsabre is on his feild utlity, but not a common weapon for him. Merloch enjoys this, though not as much as his Z-Staff.
A Z-Staff is Merloch's Favourite Weapon as stated.
A Quarter Staff is a common thing found with Merloch when on the surface.
