BOSS FIGHT WALKTHROUGHS
I HAVE HAD MANY REQUESTS FOR HELP DEFEATING BOSSES IN THE GAME. THIS PORTION IS NOT COMPLETED
X-ATM092

After defeating Elvoret you are given word that you have 30 minutes to reach the transport on the beach.  Unfortunately a large powerful steel machine monster has been conveniently thrown in your way (lucky
you).  This monster, X-ATM092, is not difficult to fight however it is very difficult to completely kill this beast.
X-ATM092
HP: 5072-5770
AP: 50
Weak vs. thunder
Immune to poison
Unlike the enemies you have seen before X-ATM092 does not die but instead becomes "doormat" after having a certain amount of HP eliminated, leaving you time to escape.  Causing damage is no trouble for you because Quezacotl is very effective against machine-like beasts.

After casing about 1200 points of damage the X-ATM092 will fall helpless for a moment until it has regained strength enough to threaten your party again.  During this time Zell will advise you to escape and by holding down L2 and R2 you can run away. (If you do not run and continue to pummel the beast
until its HP is depleted you will achieve 50AP even though it will still repair itself.)

I think this is a good example to follow because most people haven't taken the time to beef up Quezacotl enough to have a chance to deplete X-ATM092's HP completely but if you think you have the ability go ahead and try for your luck.  Keep in mind though, you must have Quezacotl's compatibility near or at 1000 and you must have the SumMag+10%, 20%, and 30%.  You also must fight X-ATM092 eight times (each time depleting it's Hp to 0).  Also this will cause you to lose some point to your SeeD level but you do achieve a hell of a lot of AP, 400AP at that.

What also makes this battle particularly important is that once you run from X-ATM092 it will continue to follow you until you reach the beach.  You only HAVE to fight X-ATM092 ONE time, all other opportunities to fight are based on how well you can outrun (with strategy) it.  The number of times that you escape from X-ATM092 before reaching the transport will determine your Spirit score.

As I said before you only really have to fight this boss once and all other times can be avoided.  There are only three spots during your run that can be difficult to maneuver through without battle.

The first is located where Selphie jumped off the cliff earlier in the game.  During this time you should use the D-Pad left so if Squall gets stuck the D-Pad will automatically force Squall around whatever is blocking his path.  Unlike the D-Pad, the analog will get you hung up on the curved path and slow you down, forcing you into another battle.

The second is the leftmost downward path.  About halfway down the path use the triangle button to walk down the path.  This may seem like a time consuming and stupid move but if you run down your party
will lose their balance leaving you immobile.

The third, and last difficult part is at the bridge.  I think that this is the hardest part to maneuver though and I mostly always am forced to fight again.  The boss  will continue following you to your right then
jump over you to cut you off.  When the boss jumps run for another second then immediately turn around and run left.  The boss may get pretty close to almost forcing you into battle but don't let that intimidate
you and keep on running! After a moment the boss will then jump over your party again, use the same strategy as before and then run to your left.  This is the last time that the boss jumps so don't hesitate to
keep running the full length of the bridge and out of screen.

The rest of the chase is nothing to worry about except that there are some places where your SeeD points can be deducted from your Attitude score (see ~full attitude deduction possibilites~).

If you fail to save the dog while passing through Dollet's town square you will receive a 10 point deduction.  Saving the dog is easy and does not cause you to lose time or be forced into battle. As you run, run for the dog and hit the X button as you come in contact with it. his will cause the dog to run and you can continue running yourself. (If the dog does not run you haven't saved it)

Also (I don't know why anyone would do this but...) if you run into the Cafe to escape from the boss you lose 20 points.

(You can also receive a 100 point bonus for destroying the X-ATM092)
